Listened to OLSON for the first time in about 6 months this morning. Severe nostalgia and sudden longing for something on the BOC front.

That's the best, it's like listening to it for the first time.

Funny how tracks like Olson used to make me nostalgic for childhood; now they make me nostalgic for BoC

Strange... I listened to MHTRTC for the first time in about 6 months yesterday. I don't think I'll ever tire of that record...

Same here. Its sheer brilliance.
I would vote it BoC's best album.

I like the NOATAK tree

All the numbers radiating from each tower add up to three. What are Mike and Marcus trying to tell us?!

Seperated by seven example 3 10 17... 0r 6 13 20...

24+27+42 = 93
9+2=12
1+2=3

The GCD is 3
There are three towers three three's and Infinite lines of seven, seven plus three equals ten omg, omg!!!

I dont think the image has anything to do with BOC

A clearance in a wooded area, you startle a deer, it runs into the pines. Vast turquoise lakes and icy rivers, crisp mountain air. A bald eagle soars above. The distant sound of a chainsaw. Redwood smoke

Greetings fellow BoC enthusiasts!

I've stalked about this ever-entertaining though recently depressing forum for many years now, and since I'm really, really hoping a new album is imminent (all the "imminent" talk from last year and the year before and the year before that notwithstanding) I've decided to take the final plunge and join the conversation (or fracas)--my carefully guarded optimism leads me to believe that quite soon we'll all have something infinitely and delightfully significant to enjoy and discuss...

I will say that, had someone suggested to me in 2005 that the Hartnolls of the then-recently disbanded Orbital would release a new full length BEFORE the seemingly-at-the-height-of-their-powers Sandisons (not to mention SEVEN years ex post facto), I would've had a helluva jolly good laugh...

And in my view, Wonky (the new Orbital) is suprisingly good--and it grows on me more with each listen...

My ten favorite "electronic" albums of my lifetime:
1. Stars of the Lid - And Their Refinement of the Decline
2. Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
3. DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....
4. The Orb - Orblivion
5. Orbital - Snivilisation
6. Autechre - LP5
7. Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica
8. Biosphere - Substrata
9. The Future Sound of London - Dead Cities
10. Burial - Untrue

Have an excellent day!

i am absolutely distraught to let you know that the numbers simply refer to the channel being used for broadcast :(

Just watching the Dayvan Cowboy video on YouTube and the comments make me laugh, folks arguing over Skrillex and dubstep, it's either that or people calling BoC 'Electro House'. Sad really.
