Do we have proof that BOC is a currently working band?

I don't want to offend anyone, but do we have proof that Boards are making music still? We have very little knowledge of their inner workings, lifestyle. Would it be so bad to let us know that a duo in progress still exists? I know asking for certain answers rarely works around here, but wouldn't it be nice to know that BOC is a past thing, and have that status of our fav band? Or should i keep biting my nails, and checking that black album on the website every week?

I just want to know, that they know were still out here kicking.

No, we have no proof one way or the other. All we know is that the official BoC profiles on sites have continued to update and tease people, which means either they are a working band, or Mike/Marcus/Whoever runs the profiles are trolls.

I grossly prefer to lean towards the former.

As long as they're still active as music artists, I don't mind waiting for their new musical creations, if that means it will result in that enthralling BoC vibe that we have all come to love.

The short answer is no. But you'll certainly have those who after 7 years of silence will point you towards the smallest wisps of smoke to claim that there's a fire (and then criticize me for characterizing the 'evidence' as tiny wisps of smoke).

Best case scenario is that the black box was an indication that they started working on music again after a half-decade hiatus.

Enjoy the wonderful (and vast) catalog of music that BoC has released so far, as well as the countless other talented artists that are producing music now. If the brothers decide to release more material, they will, but there's no need to waste your time waiting for something that has yet to be announced. There is more to life (unfortunately) than Boards of Canada.
