What to listen to if not BOC?

I'd like to hear music of a similar vein to BOC. Anyone have any suggestions. For your consideration I'd would offer The Orb-Orbus Terrarum, KLF-The Chillout Album, Future Sound Of London-Life Forms and a Beta Band track named Monolith and Brian Eno-Music For Airports. Also, anyone have an opinion about the Conet Project?

There is no electronic music similar to BoC.

Oh man. My Weakness by Moby is perhaps the creepiest, saddest, and most beautiful thing I've ever heard!

Did anybody see when they played it on the X-Files? It was one of those episodes where Mulder was looking for his sister and at the end he came to this park where a bunch of kids who had been murdered were burried at and that's where I first heard the song. They played it while showing a bunch of ghostly looking dead children playing and singing in the dead of night! FUCKING COOL AS HELL!

The only good Moby track is Go_Woodtick mix with the Twin Peaks sample.

I don't listen to much other Electronic music. I just listen to acoustic/alternative music. That's why I liked Davyan Cowboy so much when I heard it. And "soundtrack 10," which could be anything, really.

If you're looking for electronica similair to boards of canada.. I'd say you'll be looking for a while.

Hey Kowalski, nice idea for a post.

May I suggest you try and get hold of 'The Pearl' by Brian Eno and Harold Budd. A magnificently sublime experience. One of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I listen to it on a near-daily basis in bed at night. It is both light and dark. One can believe in a life beyond our mortal world as one listens to this.

Also, 'The Plateux of Mirror' by Budd an Eno is the perfect accompaniment to this album. Both are a treasure.

Give 'Ambient 4 - On Land' a listen too, and 'Apollo'. All great albums of an ambient nature yet none of this banal nonsense that one so often comes across (it has its place).

Oh yeah, another beautiful track by Eno (there are so many!) is Prophecy Theme from the film Dune. I can tell you that the first time I recall hearing this I was sat in front of my computer, and as I stared at the wall in front of me I became aware of a large, radiant sun glowing on a horizon. I was transported. That's the power of great music. [-:

I also recommended the Ambient mixes off ambient-nights.org. The guy over there (Alex Hephaestion) really has a touch when it comes to creating ambient mixes. They're all over an hour long and some are excellent. I can't vouch for the Club stuff because it isn't my scene.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the suggestions so far. I have a nice list to explore.

The first Isan I got was off of limewire,
now I buy everything off the iTunes store.
Im sure you could find them on Soul Seek, but they are hit or miss on LimeWire, just like Pole.
