BoC release on Ampoule label

It states:

Further releases for Skam, Mask, and 4th World in-house label Ampoule were scheduled, and in 1998 Boards of Canada issued Music Has the Right to Children, a landmark for electronic listening music that was widely copied.

I can't find any information that links BoC to a release on the Ampoule label though. If you go to the Discogs page of Ampoule you can see that the label's first release was in 1998, and the second in 1999. The way the Allmusic summary enumerates the Skam, Mask and Ampoule releases before mentioning MHTRTC (implying that these releases were released before MHTRTC) and the fact that MHTRTC was released in 1998 leads me to suspect that this just might be a Sandison EP released under a pseudonym. Some reviews and synopses of releases by "Lucky & Easy" compare the sound of this particular band with that of Boards Of Canada (source). Here you can listen to a track that supposedly is on this EP.

It's probably not very uncommon that artists, electronic artists especially, feel like releasing music anonymously (under an obscure moniker) now and then because they want to try things that are style-wise vastly different from the genres that they specialize in, or for other reasons. For instance, I personally happen to be aware of an Autechre release on a very small label of which Autechre insisted that was kept a secret. However, if you look at this release by Lucky & Easy I'm tempted to think that this could actually be a side project of someone with reverse ideals and inclinations than those of Boards Of Canada, such as Aphex Twin (I mean, "Anal Chewingum"?)?

Interesting theory, but reportedly Lucky & Easy is a moniker of the artist Pub.

Thanks for reminding me again about the album Talent Hoover. That's definitely a great album to listen to.
