hi twoism, after staring at the boc website for ages i think there are hidden faces in the black part of the sunset image
im not suggesting that this has any particular deep meaning, but i think its pretty cool and wondered if i can get some other opinions as to whether there actually are hidden faces or if it is pareidolia (seeing faces in random patterns)
so call me crazy but from top to bottom i can see a bearded face with wings, a grinning face with rams horns, and just below it a small face with open mouth.
I have tried to make it clearer using curves, and i think there may be many more patterns outside the areas i have highlighted. hopefully im not being too annoying making a post about seemingly nothing but it is interesting and subjective,
(sorry if the picture is too small www.boardsofcanada.com)
ok then im crazy, but i emphasised i wasn't looking too much into it.
this forum is so dead i thought it would be interesting, but maybe its dead because the community mock anyone who has a crazy idea they want to talk about.
I love how everyone picks at someone else's observations and opinions, when honestly, it doesnt matter. I thought Boards of Canada fans were kind, relaxed, intelligent people, but what I see here, and plenty of other places, you're all a bunch of fucking assholes.
1) Faces are symmetrical
2) The human brain is wired to perceive faces with high priority
3) OP is drawing attention to the mirrored (i.e. symmetrical) parts of the image
4) Pareidolia is a neat consequence of evolutionary habit and should be enjoyed, but it shouldn't be taken too seriously
One small step for man, one giant leap for Wagon Christ.

it's not dissimilar to the notion of dating a 'nice guy'. In fact, I'd like to wager that the majority of single males on this site consider themselves 'nice guys'.
