For us fortunate enough, I can head down to the NFB building in Toronto and either "rent" or atleast watch almost every thing ever released by NFB. Ive spent hours watching old doc's and short films. In fact I actually found where the sample from Kaini Industries was taken from. (the one at the end, with the drumming and flute type instrument). It comes from a documentary on a native tribe out west, I had the name written down but god only knows where it is now.

Hah! That's cool! Every time I hear that, I'm reminded of when I was a kid and those weird noise making straw things were popular. You spun them above your head and they made a whistling sound like the one heard in that segment. I always thought it was an old recording BOC did where they were banging on buckets and spinning those straws!

Throw away your smartphone.
i was gonna start a topic about this but this will do
i may sound crazy but whenever i watch the price is right here in america which is not often the sound of the buzzer for contestants who guess wrong and such alwyas reminds me of the beginning of Pete Standing Alone...i dont know...BOC are into the 70s maybe theres a connection...i just cant get past it

Pete Standing Alone is my favorite BOC song ever. Lots of dynamic changes, surprises too, and it sounds very lonesome (though not in a sad way). Like walking across a great plain with nobody else around... very reflective moments.
I just never really liked the title. I thought it wasn't cool enough sounding like the others. But now that I know that Pete Standing Alone is the name of an Indian man, the title is bad-ass! Standing Alone is such a cool last name!
Speaking of NFB films, I found this one ---> http://www.nfb.ca/trouverunfilm/fichefi ... en&exp=${\ and I'm thinking it may be a sample source for From One Source All Things Depend? I'm working towards getting it. Unlike Standing Alone, this one comes on dvd and is cheaper.[/url]

Wow this is so strange to me. Every BOCer i've met in my life have honestly said this song is the one that hooked them. For me personally...this is one of the tracks I've never particularlly liked at all. Maybe i should be listening closer here...because shit. I personaly thought it was one of the weakest tracks on the album.
