looks really good, might have to give that a go. im really interested in language, especially comparing humans with animals etc etc.

Yes! it's very good! It stops at the end of the 19th century which is where his other book begins.
I have a soft spot for epics, even though this is non fiction, it's still amazing.

I'm thinking of going onto American Gods next. It's been on my backlog for a while.

After that, I really want to look at Vineland or Snow Crash.

Got my reading planned.

It's great -- really interesting themes dealt with in a really fun way with cyberpunk and magic realism. I totally recommend it!

I tried reading that once. It didn't strike me as quite as brilliant as I expected it to be. That being said, I will try to read it again at some point in the future, as perhaps I was just having an off-day or something.
