I love metal.

Steel is pretty solid, but I'm definitely going to have to side with titanium. That's the metal everyone needs. None of this aluminum poser metal.

Honestly, if Metallica had split up in 89' they would be hailed as one of the greatest bands. Their 80s output is so brutal and thrashy, then money went to their head.

This is one of the most energetic concerts I've ever seen

I completely agree with you, except that I think the Black Album is also very cool.

Cool! I didn't know this forum had any metalheads. I've always had a liking towards certain metal acts for as far back as I can remember. Bands such as Deftones, Misery Signals, Intronaut and Chimp Spanner probably put out some of my favorite records of all time.

I actually dabble into metal-ish stuff quite a bit (on top of our electronic stuff) so if you guys are interested in checking some stuff out...:

..as well as some more tracks on our page.
It's a bit unconventional though, hope you guys enjoy it anyways!

Yes! Ennio's intro is so badass against the oncoming storm of the opening tune!

This is also amazing

The closest to 'metal' that I have been able to appreciate is Nirvana - I listen to them regularly. Other than that, I tend to prefer more 'mellow'-ish things. (not a rule, just a general guideline to my music taste)

edit 2012-10-22 8:49 p.m. - I should probably mention that I can certainly appreciate 'screamo' bands of the 1990s (e.g. Orchid, I Hate Myself), but I'm not sure that screamo is really in the same camp as metal. Heart-on-your-sleeve desperate screaming > big hair, IMHO. 8)

How did you feel about Diamond Eyes, as a Deftones fan?

Burzum, Darkthrone and Emperor are all my absolute favourite metal bands.

I hate Varg Vikernes as a person. Vile views. But he makes some amazing music, luckily he keeps his politics out of it.

Honestly? I tuned out after one listen to Rocket Skates. I should probably go back and give it a second chance, but for me it was (is) all about Around The Fur, White Pony and their self-titled 4th album.

Metul ? ??

Do you know Devin Townsend ? If not, I suggest you to listen quickly to "Truth" of the album "Infinity". This track will give you an idea. Mind blowing & futuristic metul stuff !!
