it wrecks my head all these pricks on their facebook page demanding new material from BoC. As if they owe them something! Let the lads do what they want, people there also seem to think that they've just quit making music, which is also bullshit. I'd say most of em haven't even bothered getting the old tunes stuff and the random 35 and all the remixs etc.

Let them take their time, and whether we see a new album or not, just be grateful for everything they have given us so far. Don't go slagging them off and demanding shit off them on facebook. As if it's gonna make the slightest difference anyway, they couldn't care less i'm sure ( that was directed at the facebook "fans", I think the folk here at Twoism are far more understanding and will get where i'm coming from )

I'd love to see a new album, but I can honestly say I am willing to wait as long as it takes.

These people are not pricks. I'm getting pretty sick of this "you can't talk to/request anything of the HOLY BOARDS OF CANADA" attitude, personally. Am I missing something here? Are Mike and Marcus some sort of autists that lose their shit at the slight mention of a release even if it's in good nature? Get a grip, people.

I think he's talking about the people who get mad and expect an answer. Fans aren't entitled to to half as much as they think they are. Period.

And that constitutes probably one out of 50 posts. A statement like "all these pricks on facebook" is a bit of an overstatement, don't you think?

I did mean those people as Tape stated, thanks mate. 'all these people' is just a saying mate It does not mean every single person on facebook obviosly. i meant the guys who feel that they are entitle to new material and regard BoC as being dismissive of their fans and those who have called them lazy etc,

I apoligize if what I said came across the wrong way, I should have made it clearer Rodheh. I just dont like to see these guys badmouthing BoC for not meeting their demands and have this sendse of entitlement, when really they should be happy dor what we have been given so far. Of course I dont consider the folk on there just expressing how much they love BoC and how grateful they are to them to be bad people in any way. But some people need to learn a but of gratitude and patience in my opinion. We all would love to see some new stuff, but I'm not gonna go calling em washed up or lazy just coz they are taking their time, I can wait.

Yes that's what I meant. I don't see why people cant be grateful for all the great stuff they've given us so far. I'd bet most illegally downloaded their tunes anyway, then get pissed when BoC won't meet their demands. I did not mean the genuine fans on FB of course, I'm glad you gt that anyway. And for the record, the guys i was referring to are still pricks in my book

I actually like seeing that stuff on Facebook (as long as it's not obnoxious). Good to know there are other fans out there, maybe not the kind that make a trip to a fan forum every day, but the kind of people who are just listening to their MP3 collection perhaps, and BoC comes on, and they think "shit, this stuff was golden. When are they going to put out some new stuff I wonder?"

Well guys we can either beg for a new album, say nothing and wait, or speculate. i think its pretty justified for those Facebook comments to be posted, i mean come on.. the brothers don't even acknowledge their OWN existence. we have a ghost band on our hands so what do you expect?

Agreed, don't apologize. The stress on fans seems to be overwrought to the point of ridiculousness.
Something's going to break, and hopefully it'll be good news... before the end of 2012...

My Gregory is that they have had such a nightmare with copyright sample infeingement they are having to rewrite an entire new album, or are in the process of working out sample take. With their respective owners. Either those, or you have an Aphex Twin style dilemma on your hands.
