This seemed the most appropriate place to post this. Pretty disturbing.
agh, this makes me want to visit the happy rant thread

words would never settle that.
I think blind stinking ignorance pretty well covers it.

That was awesome. As the world becomes more multicultural and globalized, these kinds of people will be forced to die out like the proverbial dinosaurs they are. They will eventually be known as terrorists and won't be able to survive the new age of tolerance and reason we're thrusting ourselves into.

meh, i feel like we'll always have reasons to bicker with each other. if not, we'll just find more.
not to sound so cynical, i do have hope.

often times, however, the children of those proverbial dinosaurs tend to grow up just like them. :\

That is true.

I have a tendency to approach things like this from the perspective that sooner or later, our rights to act like ignorant fools will be taken away.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/20 ... cans-face/

This just went through the senate stating you could be seen as a terrorist if you have a gun, store more than 7 days worth of food, or are missing fingers. If shit as crazy as this can make it this far up the ladder, I would imagine that free speech (or in this case, the freedom to be an ignorant racist) could one day be taken away as well.

I have a thing for the word ignorant.

i agree with you that the NDA act is absolutely appalling, but it'd probably be more likely to be applied to people capable of spreading opinions that are unfavorable. i don't mean conspiracy theorists or anything, no one really listens to them and they're not a threat to anyone in power.

Waterbagel, I agree. However, I think you can find some useful information in the conspiracy stream. you just have to research facts and dig through a lot of fear mongering and conjecture. I think the fact that the NDA and most assuredly future acts of this kind tells us that there is definitely a force hell bent on keeping its power. Definitely not conspiracy.

oh, no, i agree with that too.
i guess what i'm trying to say is that taking out conspiracy theorists and all that isn't in the interest of those putting the NDA into force. they believe that the general public doesn't take them seriously enough for them to be a threat (which is for the most part true).

tl;dr, i agree with you

I absolutely hate when people whine on the internet about how they're never "good enough" or how they need to "stay strong". It's almost as if positivity in itself has become this trending gimmick. It's like, "Oh, these lyrics saved my life." I just want to punch myself until I'm unconscious or something. It's absolutely annoying. It's like they create these small problems to relate to the music or something. I don't even know if I'm making sense, but it fucking irks me badly. It's like they don't have anything "real" to complain about. They're just bitching to fit in or something. ajkldsjfkljasdk

It's very true though. The average human has so much comfort and luxury in life that they lack something real to complain about and therefore create this emotional upheaval and try to feel right in such emotional nonsense. There are ways you can use emotions to your advantage and then there's way that they just create bullshit.

It also bothers me that a lot of people expect and feel entitled to certain things. No one is entitled and most people don't deserve the shit they have around them. And when a lot of people are upset about the state of their lives or what's wrong it seems like they never realize their place in the equation. Generally when I'm upset I blame myself before I blame the rest of the world.

OH and another thing related to Tumblr... girls and Tumblr is a bad mix. Period. Too many people think they're so damned artistic and poetic and really it's just pathetic. I'm being pretentious but fuck it for once I believe it's justified.

I don't think it makes you pretentious to call someone out on their bullshit. It's true.

Tedious YouTube comments, things such as ''Like if Skrillex brought you here'' / ''Da fuq did I just watch?'' / ''I'm in that weird part of YouTube again''

Doesn't take over my life as such, just slightly grinds my gears y'know.
