Does anyone have a high quality eccojams rip? The only ones I've had all sound like shit. I know they're transcoded from tapes, but it sounds like a monkey did it.

it's one-oh-trix point never. the name is actually a play on "magic 106.7." a soft-rock radio station here in massachusetts.

in fact, if you look up the original cassette of "betrayed in the octagon" released on deception island, you'll see that the name of the project was originally "magic oneohtrix point never."

glad you guys are into the opn vibes :)
replica blew my mind too.

Wow good knowledge on the naming origins - will be dropping that into a few conversations in the near future!

I just checked out his Chuck Person stuff (it's on Youtube). God, I can't gush enough about Dan Lopatin. Some of these I've heard, some I haven't, but each time I hear music I'm new to from him it pretty much strengthens my faith in the transformative power of music.

I prefer the 1 he made of Africa by Toto, but this 1 is really good as well.
