Blank square on BoC page?? Wasn't it black?

Just popped onto their site, I could have sworn that the empty square was black and not grey!

Or have I smoked just a little too much quantity?

It was always like it is now, the thumbnail is grey, but if you click on it the picture itself is black.

Trust me, as much as I tease I get just as giddy every time I see a potential indication of new material. I do hope they don't release it the 22nd though. That seems way too schmaltzy for BoC.

Its not about whether the box has been there or not- Boards of Canada "liked" a wall post from a fan, showing they are aware of our desire and have acknowledged a new album SOME time in the future.
(I believe it will be in this coming year)

i think its warps fault same reason aphex hasnt released IMO
we shold do a petition or send emails to warp because i think theyre really big villains and our heros just arent allowed 2 say it because its a contract thing

it is possible that there may be some truth to what somebody got chastised for saying on here a while back.

somebody from this forum made a post that they were smoking a cigarette with a musician ( i believe it was ulrich schnauss, but dont quote me on that part, actually dont quote me on any of this since i am just saying what i read, lol ) anyway. the musician made the comment that BOC have been taking a long time to release new music because Warp really wanted them to play more live shows with the new album.

it could be possible that they are taking more time because they have more than just music to release, they might be trying to perfect a bunch of things, like live shows and such.

i actually disagree with my own assumption here, i could never imagine BOC playing live again. but who the hell knows, its fun to debate. and amazing to imagine.

I think mdg put the hammer on that particular one quite hard. I'm inclined to believe it is something to do with Warp though, whether they're making some demand or just scheduling the album for some particular time in the future.
