Cool. Got myself a ticket for the second date. First had only seated circle ones left and MBV is not a sit-down gig as far as I'm concerned.

I can't stress enough to anyone going that earplugs are a must. I learnt that the hard way.

^ duly noted! Was going to buy a pair rather than rely on being handed some.

Having had my ears torn apart before by Mogwai in a tiny venue in Edinburgh (it took a while to recover from My Father, My King...) and knowing that MBV are even louder, I'm not going to risk it - Mrs A_Northern_Soul complains enough about my hearing as it is ;)

My excitement cannot be contained :D

Last time I saw them they gave out attenuated ear plugs, so I assume they will do something similar again. Still gonna take a pair just incase.

You snooze you lose

My review of track for those who missed it:
I really liked that new tune. Very much MBV, a steady plodding warping rhythm wall of distorted jangley guitar, and a nicely melodic flutey synth line hook underneath, and featuring Bilinda vocals.

Youtube have also removed the separate clip of Shields responding to a heckler by saying the album would be out in "maybe two or three days".

I'll kinda believe it when I see it. Shields has form for this kind of thing, but still... looking good :)

Haha, yeah. Sounds cool from what you said. Yeah 2-3 days means 2-3 months.
