Would be interested to hear the views of other members here.

The 8-bit sounding note sweeps ?
They were manually input , so strictly not arps , but yeah , i can see where you get the sonic thing from.
Thanks for listening.
Not what I was going for , but sure......
I'm not really feeling this. The arpeggios are the only good thing about this imo. It takes almost 2 minutes for a melody to drop and even that is a bit all over the place. I guess it all sounds way to programmed, especially the melody which should be all about soul and emotion, not a chord arpeggiated at random. Also the sound of it is a bit like patches, stuff I could produce by selecting some patches on a superwave vst.2ndMOUSE wrote: Would be interested to hear the views of other members here.
What I'd suggest is creating synths you've never heard before, or get instruments from samples that are personal to you. You probably have some midi controllers lying around, I suggest you shred them and rock your own face off. Its the only way.
Throw away your smartphone.
I get what you're saying cupz , and thanks for listening.Cupz wrote:I'm not really feeling this. The arpeggios are the only good thing about this imo. I never give away the melody straightaway. Maybe its bad for sending a demo to someone cos they want action within 30 seconds , but i like things to develop. I was actually gonna stretch this out more cos the geat is quite complex
Sometimes i go for a programmed feel , and sometimes i go for a more organic feel. Kraftwerk were amazing but that wasnt about soul and emotion.
There was nothing arpeggiated in this track. I input every note , so there was nothing random , except the glitch at the end and a few fill-ins , but even they were within parameters i'd set.
I dont mind that you're not feeling it Cupz cos i know its all subjective at the end of the day but i appreciate you taking the time to listen regardless.
Sounds to me like its a good mic. Picks up the fret squeaks nicely. Nice clean recording that sounds nicely balanced.bearhead wrote:
My new microphone came in, yesterday. I wanted to test it out.
It's a bit of a 70s styled, romantic theme.
The sooner I learn to play my guitar the better , but I cant even pick it up.

Have to say this is some of the more original stuff I've heard around this thread... it's interesting- keep it up! I like the sorta home-recording feel to it. It makes me think of the tascam I use to record with.C.I. wrote:hello twoism, new person here.
ya'll look like you have a pretty thriving homecooked music community and it looked attractive to me.
some cool stuff being bounced around in this thread.
here's my first contribution
Also, welcome to Twoism!
Edit: I'm going to put a new thing out in a week or two... here's some stuff from it I'm working on

Well, I'm working on that a bit. I don't want hardly any fret noise since I have to build on top of other tracks... But yeah, it's a really nice mic! It's an MXL V67G with a FET/transformer design. It really warms up things, especially after running through a tube preamp.2ndMOUSE wrote:Sounds to me like its a good mic. Picks up the fret squeaks nicely.
