The Fez soundtrack is absolutely brilliant and emotional (to me at least!).

There was a post somewhere around one or two weeks ago about an indie game that came out recently, that seemed to have the same exploration patterns as the old atomless website BoC had, such as music changing from place to place. Anybody knows the topic I'm talking about? (I tried and tried to find it, but it seems the topic just vanished!)
Anyway, I was reminded of that subject while watching an LP of "Proteus" (http://www.visitproteus.com/) which really does feel as smooth as that atomless website! Probably more, considering there is not drum patterns or overwhelming loops, leaving all music space For Relaxing Time

God, I'm so glad someone mentioned this. This game is brilliant, and the soundtrack is equally brilliant both in and out of the game context.OzModule wrote:The Fez soundtrack is absolutely brilliant and emotional (to me at least!).

Okay, so I know I posted this up in the appropriate thread just now, but I wanted to share it here too sense it was relevant to the topic. Anyway, I tried my hand at making 16-bit cartridge Sega Genesis music. Sorry if that's frowned upon, but I thought it might be somewhat appreciated on this thread...
Star Ocean: The Second Story... Shingo Forest Theme.
Grandia.. All of the music!
Any music from Legend of Legaia.
And also various Guardians Crusade themes, especially the battle theme!
These are very critical soundtracks of my youth as the games were essentially my best friends...
I may have to break out the ol playstation now

But in all seriousness, any of Chrono Trigger OR Chrono Cross' music was AMAZING. I have the import soundtrack for CC! Good shit..and of the old FF games have amazing music too, and Super Metroid! Castlevania too
