oh and so did this. I watched this intro so many times back then. Especially "...the evil harkonen *epic minigun battle*". Best use of the adlib soundchip ever.

Not an original, but a remix from the 32x game "DarXide" (yeah I know, it's obscure!), the tune is "Starman (don't lose yourself)", it's a amazing track!!:

the forsaken ost was amazing. my friends and i used to 4 player deathmatch on n64. phoetoid was just so fast.

a friend of mine had forsaken for playstation. we found out that the soundtrack could be played from a compact disc player. he ended up giving me the playstation disc due to the n64 version having no loading times.

EDIT: forsaken/project-x for linux, osx, windows: http://fly.thruhere.net/
you may think that you have not been programmed, but you have.

I love the soundtrack on that game. I love that game, in general. The second Streets of Rage has the best soundtrack, though.

I really love this game as well. Yuzo Koshiro is boss - he even plays DJ sets with Streets of Rage music! Which means that he has vinyl pressings of his soundtracks - awesome. The first level theme must be great to hear at a club. And it was quite something to have your name right beside "SEGA" at the beginning of the name in a time when in the credits of the game people were sometimes credited with pseudonyms, especially in SEGA games.

The Shinobi soundtrack is also very good.

Three of those are some of my favorite games. The Genesis/Megadrive was and still is a magnificent system. 8)

The music in that game kind of reminds me of the Mario Golf 64 soundtrack.

The Woodfall Temple theme from Majora's Mask is very good. Also, that game had some great sound effects...
