Why was everyone saying that 12/12/12 was going to be the new release date????

i think you'd have to define "everyone". i didn't gather that to be the general sentiment around here. mostly wishful thinking i think.

Because TCH came out on 06/06/06, and we "knew" it was going to come out in 2012, so it seemed like a good date for it to come out.

Trans Canada Highway was actually released on 5/29/06. It WAS supposed to be released on 06/06/06 but Warp pushed the EP earlier.

Wouldnt there at least have been some kind of announcement? Regarding of course maybe the rumor was the announcement on 12-12-12?

Well, when they announced Trans Canada Highway, they had the Dayvan Cowboy video with the release date at the end saying 06/06/06. It was also promoted via Warp along with the site warprecords.com/666, I believe. They had the Invocation video on there too. It was announced via the WARPBOT E-Mail News Letter. So I would say, yes they would have released something on Warp about it if it indeed happen. Then again Geogaddi was released with a very small amount of promotion, hardly any really. So you never know with BoC... It's whatever mood they're in I guess.
