Do you think it will ever be the same? I mean, the 3 vinyl gatefold with etching and printed inner sleeves, it seems it was a limited edition and won't appear again like this, if ever.
Some people say the recent Aphex Twins repressings have poor quality print, the artwork is pixelated, like a scan, but these like MHTRTC are just simple sleeves with plain white inners, nothing elaborate.
Geogaddi seems like it was one special day.
I feel all sad now, sorry. I want things to be the same again

All the repressings of BoC's EPs seem pretty similar to their original pressings, so I think they would try to make the repressings of their LPs seem like the originals.
Who knows.
I don't own the original copy of Aphex Twin's Richard D. James LP but the repressing is pretty high-quality, atleast to me.

yes i think it was one of the Aphex Twins covers, not sure which one and also 1 of them was mastered for vinyl from cd masters unlike the original version.
A Beautiful Day repressed in Sky Blue vinyl would seem a task imo, fingers crossed. Warp related, only one ep has been repressed and thats Twoism which was really a Music 70 original, in fact Warp have only repressed one album. Considering it took 20 years to repress LFOs Frequencies, it could take a long time more.

worse comes to worse you could always just buy it 2nd hand dude... chill
i'd personally much rather have the original than a repress anyways

I've been noticing recently, quite an unusual surge in offload of BOC vinyl albums both on discogs and ebay. possibly pre album repress speculation tension syndrome, in before the drop.
i hope they do, in fact i hope they repress all their stuff one by one a month like how AFX Analords were released that should sort them, a good kick in the teeth for been greedy.
i ain't going to pay over €50 for an lp, they can keep them.

i've noticed Damont Audio who pressed MHTRTC, both issues in fact, are now defunct after liquidation in 2005!

yea i can't imagine a label like Warp been so disorganised that they've misplaced electronic artwork/music files from late 90s onwards, thats office storage stuff kept on zip disk, reels, to cd to dvd and now ext. sat drives., would never need to a warehouse to store this, they havent released 1,000 records, not even 500, yet.
the vinyl masters in this warehouse? hardly. also rare back cat. stock, surely thats all gone and sent out unless they've been hoarding boc records that are completely sold out elsewhere, hardly.
nothing to worry about, they're making it sound bad, ok it was bad but "some releases may never be available physically again" yea pull the other one.
This discussion came up when it actually happened, but that warehouse was a distribution warehouse. All that was there was stockpiles of back and current catalog stuff ready to be shipped off to wherever, certainly no masters.
The whole "some of these things will never get repressed" is kind of a red herring as it relates to BoC because BoC, Aphex, Autechre and the like are big enough that there's always going to be enough demand to repress their stuff if it's needed. It wasn't that they *couldn't* repress because masters were lost in the fire, it's more like; if you've got 1500 unsold records in a crate from a less popular artist that have been sitting there for years off a 5000 run, and they burn up, does it make financial sense to repress them? Probably not, especially when you can redirect people to Bleep to get digital copies.
So I don't think Warp were trying to "make anything sound worse than it was" it's more like cutting their losses on unsold stock that was most probably just gathering dust.

The 3 boc vinyl albums just went for £226 sterling on ebay from the one seller, all near mint condition. Was tempted but its a lot of dough.
Oh man, I hope so. I think I would literally kill a man for that, haha. It's my favorite album, having it on vinyl would be killer. I sent an email to a guy over at Warp asking about it a few months ago and he never even got back to me. I sent an email over to bleep after that, and I think it said something along the lines of 'maybe' but to be completely honest I don't really remember. I see one on discogs going for about $110, but I'm 13 so I don't think I'll be getting that money any time soon. Unless I get some birthday money, but my birthday is in October, so whatever.
