Great movie. For the critics that "Didn't Get It", I feel sorry for you. Go see a Michael Bay movie.
What's the latest movie that struck you?

I may have posted about this before, but I own Falling Down (1993) on screener VHS and it is an absolutely brilliant - and very deep - social commentary. Highly recommended.

John Dies at the End! I am a big Don Coscarelli fan, the Phantasm series being one of my faves, not to mention Bubba Ho-Tep. This movie was a refreshing, twisted, trippy, brilliant offering..it's like Fear and Loathing meets Evil Dead or some crazy shit. And I believe it is based on a webcomic/series of some sort, thinking about giving that a read.
ALSO--Sound City! The new documentary by Dave Grohl, about the infamous studio. Recommend this to anyone with an interest in recording or music in general, it is all kinds of awesome. Tons of cool musicians talking about their memories/history with the studio.

I really felt for PSH when he didn't win the Oscar. (And Wack too... again).

WHATT HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THE PROFESSIONAL. It's soo good. All of those movies are so good in fact.saturdayindex wrote:- La Femme Nikita, Leon the Professional (both Luc Besson)

I liked Nikita and C&C, not so much Leon the Professional, but it had its moments.

I guess I found it a bit melodramatic but yeah, it was a good film. The ending was particularly good, in that way that when you detest a villain in a movie and he's finally delivered the justice he deserves.TaoTapeTao wrote:WHATT HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THE PROFESSIONAL.
