Nosaj Thing - Home
Nosaj Thing dropping a new album, after Drift (which I didn't really like) Home is coming out this week or next week I think. On the site posted below you can listen to the first single, which is amazing imo.
Curious about this album!

I guess personally I was hoping for some mind blowing material, as Drift was because it sounded so different than everything at the moment. Eclipse got some playing time for me but the rest of the album kind of sounded like everything else dropping right now.Kamas009 wrote:Love this album so much.
I don't understand the reviews for it, it's just as good as Drift.
Drift was really cool because each song took on so much life of its own, yet when playing the new album I didnt catch any kind of feeling like that. Actually haven't played it once since the first couple listenings. Sad.

Drift wasn't much different from what we've heard either. If you're familiar with the LA scene they've been taking the less is more/softer synth approach with hip hop for quite some time.

I am very familiar with the LA beat scene, for over a decade now.
There are some similarities to other releases of course but overall I'd have to disagree with you. I think Drift got so much exposure because of how different it sounded from everything. I remember being blown away by some of the melodies and sounds.

Light #1 all day every day.
I wont argue with you about it though Drift is a great LP and that's that.
