Come on! Lil Wayne is dope! Maybe his newer material isn't up to the par of his 'golden era', but even his newest mixtape has some amazing tracks. He's one of the most interesting personalities in Hip Hop and makes very entertaining rap music, sometimes very clever/lyrical (depending on which Lil Wayne you're listening to).TaoTapeTao wrote:Calvin wrote: lil wayneit seems that you accidentally grouped lil wayne in with all the good rappers
AT LEAST tell me you'll give him credit for bangers like "A Milli", "Upgrade", "Got Money", "Break Up", "6 Foot 7 Foot"

One of the best hip hop albums of all time imo yet he never really gets much recognition. See also his debut Primitive Plus album and Edan's Echo Party mix. The man is a legend. He records most his stuff on 4track cassette and does all the scratching and rapping at the same time. Check the skills:Cupz wrote:this is amazing.WeHadNormality wrote:Edan - Beauty and the Beat. Lo-fi hip hop that draws samples 60s psychedelia records. It's a masterpiece.

Death Grips is good but I didn't like No Love Deep Web very much. I thought the electronic part of it was done well but the lyrics ruined it for me. " YOU NEED A LIFT!?? YOU CAN SIT BETWEEN THE BACK SEAT OF MY DICK!".....if I was going to listen to that song in my car I'd be rolling up the window on that part.
