this is my best work ever out of context: http://tindeck.com/listen/rgfa

in context (ie: listening to the rest of the album along with it) is probably this one: http://tindeck.com/listen/lvbd

I would post the finished album but it's like 6 years in the making with no end in sight yet :?

I just got my laptop fixed up.
I'm working on some hip hop overloaded with samples and databending.
It's gonna be so cool.
I already designed 8 sleeves for the upcoming album.
I just have to see which one fits best once I'm finished!

here's an EP I plopped out last night:

pretty different than what I've posted in this thread before. Tried to keep it focused on shorter pieces which is something I've never much done. think it proved to be a rewarding kind of challenge.
the national park service is on bandcamp and soundcloud

I'm working on this one currently. I rendered it to get feedback, so it's not done yet.

My main beef is I'm wondering what drum patterns fit with it...
I do like where I see it going, however.

I like the chords and that wonderful FM-style synth going on...

Building up those drums is probably the way to go - thinking rapid hi-hats and a snappy 80s style snare, something like that? Could then also experiment with re-arranging the kickdrum pattern(s) to see if anything else besides the standard four-to-the-floor pattern works as well, or better.

Heavy BOC influence showing there... Very nice work on those drums!

Really good song. Interesting choice of rhythm kicking in at 1:20, and especially liking the synthesizer chords!

Having said that, it's the quirky fluttery vocal samples that give it the most character - without them, this would still be very good, just not half as unique a sound.
