Why haven't you posted a shit ton of pictures of the thing yet?
Why wouldn't you rip it and share the audio with everyone?
What has happened to the proverbial welcoming tone of the Twoism.org board? Give the guy time to take his hat off before answering those excellent questions ;)

Sorry, I'm just too hyped for this.

The of Boards of Canada troubles me also. Hopefully it is not the last production for them. The dude looks like some swaggy hip-pop dude with his snapback etc (although he likes good music considering his last fm picks). Hopefully he realizes the value of that item /artifact.
knew I should have taken that hat off, I had just gotten off work
Haha hopefully I did not offend you. I know snapbacks are in fashion..but they are quite swaggy anyways. I stalked your listens on last fm and reconsider my stupid stereotyping since you have quite the good taste in music. Hopefully we can have some first hand information off you if you are really that person and not trolling. Welcome to the fanatic fanbase of BoC!

Isn't there a digest version available? If not it might be a great idea.

this news has made me forget (almost) entirely about my apartment's terrible plumbing woes that have plagued the weekend!

But seriously, I already checked all the record shops in Philly I could think of to find another code.

as a one time reader of the UK music weeklies I do recall BoC's name popping up quite a bit around the Geogaddi era. I remember Doves and Travis praising them, and then there is Thom Yorke. Their popularity has exceeded any imagined hipster perimeter for a long time now.

Another fake, or the real deal?
So far, the only confirmation we've had is the record in NYC. This was posted to Reddit with a picture of the record and a video of the record playing followed soon afterwards. Since then there have been 3 or 4 Twitter frauds claiming to have a second record. What's the one common theme among all the fraudulent claims? They all say a variation on a theme of "I have the second BoC vinyl - I'll upload pics later". As I said earlier in this thread "I'll provide the evidence later" should set off major alarm bells any time it's said on the internet. It always means bullshit. - If someone knows enough about the hype going on about this to tweet about a record they've just bought then they know full well that no one will believe them until they post some concrete evidence.

Edited to add - Sorry if this post came across as a rant at you drixlin - it's absolutely just my disgust with the fraudulent claims out there and I'm not having a go at you or anyone else who reports them 8)

I wouldn't believe anything without additional images and audio. This thing is getting so viral so quickly there's going to be plenty of fakes vying for attention.

I do appreciate this, but I didn't take it personally :)

Fake or not, if it's not shared, it can't be debunked! I agree with the red flags, but I also didn't expect Sunday morning to be any different than any other morning, yet here we are!

I don't understand the mindset behind doing things like this.
