Also I don't see any reason they would use the ASCII system, it's too geeky.

As for the geographic coordinates, I find that unlikely as well, because we wouldn't know how to combine 6 coordinates, when only two would be needed.

I think as someone stated previously it's probably a cipher of some sort.

But the REAL question is, what will the information really tell us?...

It's all gone a bit Billy Quizboy isn't it!! Had to add this clip once a cipher was brought up!

holy shit... I wonder if that second clip is legit? Where did it come from? A youtube user uploaded it and then deleted it straight away?

It sounds dark as hell, very distorted and it blends together seamlessly, which could suggest it's real because BoC could would have used their magic on the samples. Heavily distorted voices... waily synths... and then sounds which are very reminiscent of number stations, and the voice reading numbers again, which distorts in a similar fashion to the first clip.

Sounds legit to me, but I suppose we need more info.

Here's a link to the second clip if you missed it link

edit: duh, forgot the numbers, which are 735673
edit 2: WATMM forum link to a post showing screenshotted annotation of location of numbers in the xxxxxx sequence

This one sounds legitimate. Same sonic flavor as the first record.

If it is indeed legit then it seems to me like it would use a similar cipher to that of an actual numbers station. I'm no good at decoding in that regard, but once the complete set of six 6 digit numbers is collected, then a key would be needed to decode the full string.

If legit, then this is what the current string looks like (735673 occupied the last of the 6 sections as per the upload on youtube):

------ / ------ / ------ / 936557 / ------ / 735673

As with the other, won't believe it till I see proof (and I can't see the pulled YT clip till it gets a reup) but it's either coincidence, design, or a troll that that's another number that fits on a phone keypad, if it's real. Not sure what you can get out of it, except "REKORD", maybe.

If it's not real, I'm glad the trolls are humouring my theory :)

If each of the six groups is a six-digit prime then each one could be chosen based on a) their the fact that that they are prime and b) some property that is used to determine the code.

There are a lot of six-digit primes so there's plenty to choose from and of course no way of predicting what will be in the missing groups.
This b) could be something like a decimal place position in pi or something about their relative position to each other.

http://cityofpi.com/936557 = 3

http://cityofpi.com/735673 = 1

I was also thinking that the decoded message might be simply a release day in the form 1/7/0/6/1/3

The annotations changed!
It still shows the same cypher at 4:19
But now it says ONE GOT FAT at 4:20

Check it.

Something to do with EYDIAB?

Hellinterface left a link to this video
on the eydiab video
.....
it has a high quality rip of the vinyl sound and an annotation suggesting it is the 3rd set of numbers.

This is genius. Absolute unmitigated genius - I think the clue to the third set of numbers is pretty legit and it also adds a touch of legitimacy to the second video that was taken down.

So, perhaps the six sets of clues aren't going to all be revealed by different vinyls

I really doubt it's all vinyl, seems it will be all sorts of media, I hope it is, more fun I reckon and more clever on BoC's part. Makes the one record that lucky lad got even rarer too.

But there's another set of 6 numbers now it seems? Do we know where they fit on the pattern? And how do you think it relates to the other Youtube video, if at all? It did sound legit to me, was it the same uploader as the one Hell interface linked to does anybody know?

EDIT: Sorry, it's the 3rd set so, as the annotation on the video suggests. It flashed so fast I missed it, had trouble even pausing it at the right time to get a screenshot

notice the username on the linked video: tarekeys

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tare_weight

every cipher needs a key of some sort to decrypt it

number is 717228, vid title is csch (may be related, or perhaps not)

EDIT: nvm, saw the XXXXXX in third position flashed @ end.
