damn, rough trade is such an obvious place to look for it as well. how did it take so long. so sighworthy that there's no good record shops near where I live.

given that two of the same vinyl have been found (if the second is legit), then seems likely that if there are any different ones it will be a while before they are distributed.

or perhaps it's all on youtube from now, hard to tell a pattern

That makes sense. The economics of making one-off vinyls is excessive, even where the outlay will obviously be recouped when the album gets released.

Argh the only type of record stores anyway near me are the vinyl sections of Charity shops. I think to stand a chance of finding one you need to be in a major city.

So that's how you find it - go from store to store until you find the one where the entire staff is watching you nervously as you get closer and close to the right section...

I think another reason it took two days is because most people in London are skint and £16 for a record with around 40 seconds of audio is a pretty considerable outlay even if you can theoretically shaft some poor fuck on Discogs for it once you get bored. After, say, 120 seconds.

I mean, fuck, they GAVE AWAY the Geogaddi promos and they had a solid 8 minutes of music.

I'm pretty glad the records don't seem to be such an integral part of the treasure hunt tbh.

True, at the same time though that purchaser could probably resell it for £1000, assuming they don't have a soul.

The 12"s (or at least the first one found) are dubplates though - you can hear this in the video with the Japanese note at the start when he lifts the record up - which are significantly cheaper to produce than pressed vinyl records.
