That makes sense. The economics of making one-off vinyls is excessive, even where the outlay will obviously be recouped when the album gets released.diabolous616 wrote:second vinyl found:
appears to be identical from the picture which suggests any additional records found will be same and are all part of phase 1, lucky bastards though...
So that's how you find it - go from store to store until you find the one where the entire staff is watching you nervously as you get closer and close to the right section...diabolous616 wrote:can you imagine the torture of knowing that record was there and not being able to buy itoswellmh wrote:

Or just laugh at you whilst you look for something which isn't there.Moebius wrote:So that's how you find it - go from store to store until you find the one where the entire staff is watching you nervously as you get closer and close to the right section...diabolous616 wrote:can you imagine the torture of knowing that record was there and not being able to buy itoswellmh wrote:

Haha yeah, must have been pretty hilarious/painful viewing for the staff as they watch people amble closer and closer to where it's hiddenMoebius wrote:So that's how you find it - go from store to store until you find the one where the entire staff is watching you nervously as you get closer and close to the right section...diabolous616 wrote:can you imagine the torture of knowing that record was there and not being able to buy itoswellmh wrote:

I think another reason it took two days is because most people in London are skint and £16 for a record with around 40 seconds of audio is a pretty considerable outlay even if you can theoretically shaft some poor fuck on Discogs for it once you get bored. After, say, 120 seconds.
I mean, fuck, they GAVE AWAY the Geogaddi promos and they had a solid 8 minutes of music.
I'm pretty glad the records don't seem to be such an integral part of the treasure hunt tbh.

True, at the same time though that purchaser could probably resell it for £1000, assuming they don't have a soul.oswellmh wrote:I think another reason it took two days is because most people in London are skint and £16 for a record with around 40 seconds of audio is a pretty considerable outlay even if you can theoretically shaft some poor fuck on Discogs for it once you get bored. The 12"s (or at least the first one found) are dubplates though - you can hear this in the video with the Japanese note at the start when he lifts the record up - which are significantly cheaper to produce than pressed vinyl records.oswellmh wrote: That makes sense.
