you forgot something else, 42 seconds is 24 reversed, 2+4=7 (7 is the joke)oswellmh wrote:As unromantic as it sounds I think this is much more likely to be at least 50% Warp's baby.chronical wrote:I think it's all planned out by the Hexagon Sun collective and has nothing to do with Warpvballs wrote:I have wondered, is this all BoC`s idea, Warps idea and BoC approved or what? Either way, pretty good marketing stunt and damn intriguing.
By the way, has anyone discussed the price of the record? $24.99. That must be a clue. 2 + 4 + 9 + 9 = 24.. Then 2 + 4 = 6!
It's all so intricately planned! There I was thinking they were charging $25 FOR 42 SECONDS OF AUDIO. (Then again if there is only a single copy for sale, and they're not acetate, it's safe to Warp is operating at a loss.)[/i]
i personally don't think its genius or clever marketing crap. its scattery, obscure, disjointed, generating conclusion after conclusion of nonsense, childishly ridiculous and without a doubt - pretentious.
csch, meh 2020k: oh if you add .ca to it it brings you to a site with the word Canada on it.
well no shit sherlock!

Interesting, but nothing interests me really except that last sentence...
Since history is somewhat cyclical, ancient Babylon and the tower of Babel was A culmination of the Beast rising up out of the earth, but the Beast of Today is the Internet--essentially the rising "out of the earth" of a massive Overmind where all of Mankind's thoughts become shared and de-privatized. That is where technology is going, and also why BOC quietly preach against the internet.

Why all the anger? No one forces you to go through the hoops, some like it, some are interested, not everyone is into sleuthing and fanboyism but others are. If it irates you that much I am sure that there are better things to do than berate those who chose to have fun.thepastinsidepressant wrote:you forgot something else, 42 seconds is 24 reversed, 2+4=7 (7 is the joke)oswellmh wrote:As unromantic as it sounds I think this is much more likely to be at least 50% Warp's baby.chronical wrote: I think it's all planned out by the Hexagon Sun collective and has nothing to do with Warp

And when you say "they" you're jumping the gun, it might be completely out of the hands of the Sandisons, might be Warp for all we know, or a firm working for Warp.
But they did say the internet was evil... case in point

Might be time to step away from the keyboard for a little while brotherman. I can't picture a better and more fun way to bide my time while I wait for them to get down to brass tacks.thepastinsidepressant wrote:you forgot something else, 42 seconds is 24 reversed, 2+4=7 (7 is the joke)oswellmh wrote:As unromantic as it sounds I think this is much more likely to be at least 50% Warp's baby.chronical wrote: I think it's all planned out by the Hexagon Sun collective and has nothing to do with Warp

I had not noticed, no it does bear similitude to old vinyl however when I crank it up. I wonder if it's a leftover from the original video or on purpose... there's a maddening attention to details in some of those things.mechanismj wrote:Has anyone else noticed there's a second of noise at the beginning of the nuevas semillas video?
If so, disregard this...

Chill out man. I don't understand all this animosity towards the way they are releasing this information. We have waited 7 years for a release from them, why on earth is it a bad thing that they have decided to make the build up to this release really intriguing and exciting? I for one am absolutely lovin every second of it. Every thought, every theory. It has brought the entire BoC community together and I think I speak for most of them when I say I'm grateful that they've seemingly put so much effort into organising this and making it something to remember.thepastinsidepressant wrote:you forgot something else, 42 seconds is 24 reversed, 2+4=7 (7 is the joke)oswellmh wrote:As unromantic as it sounds I think this is much more likely to be at least 50% Warp's baby.chronical wrote: I think it's all planned out by the Hexagon Sun collective and has nothing to do with Warp

Completely agree with MindElevation here. No need to be so angry if the viral campaign isn't your thing. To reiterate a post I made earlier on BocPages' FB status: You need to promote a new record before it goes on sale or no-one will buy it. BoC aren't the kind of guys who are going to go around the chat show circuit and do numerous radio and magazine interviews and, speaking personally, I wouldn't want them to be like that. This kind of stuff is an excellent way of building awareness for the album to ensure maximum exposure without having to become media whores - the conventional ways of promoting an album are dull as fuck - I much prefer BoC's approach here.MindElevation wrote:Chill out man. The —— / —— / —— / XXXXXX / —— / —— bit pops up at the end, but I'm guessing fake.GeometricPish wrote:This video was linked in the comments of Tycho's blog, probably a troll but very nice sounding all the same.

It doesn't give any number positions away either. Loving it so far.
Anyone worked out what some of those background noises are on the clips yet? Apologies, I've been at work and I may have missed this??
