Errr, are they not just round edinburgh because they've put NT at the start
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... l_Grid.svg
would they not just be a hexagon anywhere and the location determined by whatever two letter code you put at the start?

Bugger. Good point, well made.

still, the fact is, they are making a hexagon - I feel that the code has still been cracked in that regard. Is the NT correct? Maybe so, maybe not...but the fact that a hexagon is beginning to form means we're on the right track.

I think it is one of the better patterns people have pointed out though, plus I guess I'm hoping for a secret party as that would be pretty awesome

I tried to enter CS CH as grid codes.
Ended up in the sea.
Not very useful then

Thanks
It's an ordnance survey grid reference, it’s the way maps in the UK are done

You have a large grid covering the UK, there’s an XY then each digit refers to a smaller grid inside the previous

In the UK, we use Ordnance Survey maps which work on a grid reference system. You could use the codes found so far to get the points shown on the map, but as someone just pointed out, the addition of the NT code is using a little 'artistic licence' to say the least. The NT ref is the one for the area just south of Edinburgh (ie. the East Scottish Borders). You could just as easily apply the same shape to pretty much anywhere in the UK.
Thanks. Well, if it turns out to be a Hexagon, I'll sure regret not having the leisure cash to fly out to wherever it is.
But it seems unlikely to me that it would be any sort of party or anything (whereas the Redmoon thing does seem like it could have been). Why would Hex Sun wanna have an awkward party with a bunch of really hardcore fans? What would there be to talk about? Seems like it'd be pretty lame from their perspective.
Also, if it was supposed to be a Hexagon on a map, couldn't they have made it perfectly equilateral? What would be a reason to not make it non-equilateral?

The point is "wherever it is" isn't anywhere - it's just a shape. If you put it in the grid marked NT, it's over Edinburgh. If you put it in SW it's in Cornwall.
I don't think this is what it means anyway.
