Very true! :) I just hope someone got it on DVR and can upload a high quality version of the video. Still so angry at myself for watching SNL instead of Toonami when this happened...haha
I have another Adult Swim channel that repeats toonami and have it set to record. BTW, if you have all the tone clues thus far listen on clues 2 and 6 at about :36 seconds for a super-creepy young boys voice saying "don't go.." in a ring modulated tone!
Awesome! :D I know that the people over at Bumpworthy probably have it, but you could probably get it up on YouTube faster. Not sure how often Bumpworthy updates....Here's a link anyway: http://www.bumpworthy.com/

If you have Dish network, for example, and are on the West coast, you get two Cartoon Network feeds. I'll set my DVR as well, but I don't have a way to make a video out of it. Sorry.

tradica at reddit seems to be posting what may be a tip in addition to something false each time. the owl cage may not be an owl cage. check the tags on his photos on the imgur account that started the Yerma thread. One of those tags seems to loosely match the mitosis pattern:
, . , ( ( ( / | \ ) ) ) , . ? 521 East Yermo

he might actually be playfully helping along, rather than tormenting anyone.
also the type of graffiti there is strange when you think about it. he confirmed "Artless Fiction", but this was supposedly real and surrounded by art, so maybe it means "art, less fiction" lol.. It sort of feels like the guys are literally saying "hi" and the physical evidence is part of the stages of encounter when I read about the movie again. I keep thinking they might actually show up somewhere for the third kind of encounter, which is crazy. If any of that holds up, something lost is about to be found. it's also sort of a funny way to gloss over the absence: "we were abducted seven years ago and just got back"

I interpreted that to be an ASCII antenna... as it's the line of description for..the big antenna photo. :}

Has anyone checked out whether BoC has connections with any breweries? There have been rumors of a double album..."Boc" is a lot like "Bock" (remember Markus "Boc" Diersbock)...for the next clue, I would be looking for a brewery that makes doppelbock.

But seriously, I can't believe people took the gas station thing so seriously that it even needed to be discussed. Someone posted a photo of a random telephone pole outside the gas station (as if there was only one telephone pole) and a random bathroom tile (which, both visually and mathematically, doesn't even look like something the band would do). Beyond that, there's no reason to believe the desert footage had anything more than thematic relevance. Might as well go an investigate the filming location of any video that's ever been associated with the band.

That said, it's pretty cool that this event caused us to tune in to something in the world that we would otherwise have paid attention to--the location, the landscape, the abandoned gas station and all its quirks.

Also, something doesn't feel right to me about the whole Rough Trade thing, as well as the Adult Swim clip. Even though it seems to be coming from Warp, it doesn't seem to have the same signature that the other clues had. With the other clues, it was quite clear they were coming directly from the band.

However, if it IS truly a clue, maybe it's more like the YouTube playlist hints--it's not about what's in the videos, but it's supposed to point us in a certain direction. Something to do with amateur footage? The desert or trail themes?

I've seen that mentioned somewhere recently and it did make me think of all of this, along with the orginal easter egg in the old Atari Adventure game.

Oh, sure it does, but I'm reacting to the scenarios in which they were presented. With the previous hints and the codes themselves, there was something direct and authentic about the way each one was presented. There wasn't much of a question, "is this a clue or not?" With Rough Trade / Adult Swim, we know it was presented by Warp, but in my opinion, it was a bit tentative and sloppy.

i think the NPR one was sloppy, the sloppiest one so far imo and we're still been fed info to nail position. what 3 hints relative to that code i think. jeez we should have 12 codes by now. its no wonder many fans are losing interest in thinking about solving it and just checking out, they just want a reveal now.

So NPR goofed and they had to do the Rough Trade thing, but it was too muffled so they had to resort to an AS bump? Far fetched, but who knows at this point.

All this disappointment!?!

I'm sure they planned it this way. I don't think it was sloppy or too slow..... They're making it fun and elaborate. I'm psyched. It's only been 8 days since we started hearing form them again... Sheesh. That's a nano second compared to the 7 Years we've been waiting. Relax and take it all in.... Music will be here soon enough..... :)

I don't think there was a fckup, I think they were just spreading the message far and wide.

The tv ad put the Rough Trade thing into perspective, to me; it wasn't meant to be a do-over of the NPR one, but rather it looks like this is how they're marketing the album. So it feels like the window display wasn't meant to be an actual clue aimed at us, but more like the ad, an actual shop display, making people curious and advertising a mystery album.

Maybe the NPR number was deliberately broadcast with mysterious placement to further tangle this thing up.

Of course we expected one of the clues would come from Adult Swim... Honestly I expected a typical black screen/white text bump with the familiar chimes. But now I'm afraid we're not going to solve this as quickly as initially thought, if they're gonna drag out this mysterious marketing for a while?

It's pretty genius, though. Look how hyped it got us. The base has been rallied. Next step, intrigue the uninformed..

is this two messages in one broadcast? it's twice as long and sounds reversed or something for the first 40 seconds, then it's the npr message we've heard. we're going to have to play with the audio as the copies get better. this feels close, and i bet we can verify those places soon if this is it..[/url]

Nonsense, you guys realize the effort of renting something and project boc footage in a shop/hangar ? Think you can pull that in 48 hours?

Same for AS bumper, you need to book that weeks if not months in advance.

All staged and planned 100% certain
