It wasn't an ad, it was a bumper.re-phaelam-ed wrote:you dont just put an ad on tv over night. you need to book the slot.thepastinsidepressant wrote:see this is the thing that i have a problem with. The NPR one same, position not given.
audio from the art gallery was not easy to hear - ok lets give it to them again.
sometimes it feels like its been made up as they go along and trying to fix errors this way.
its just sloppy or something, i dunno. they are watching us, thats for sure. All of them.
We might even be giving them ideas to present the next clues.
this all feels planned.

Yeah, anyone believing NPR flubbed or that the replay or tonight's spot are sloppy or fixes are completely wrong. This sort of thin at that magnitude and complexity needs a solid plan of execution.
No way is anything not perfectly staged. Even tonight there were hints days ago about adult swim. It's all a well choreographed dance.

Right? If they wanted us to know what slot the NPR number was in, we would have known right then. Sad thing is, most Boards fans are following this like crazy, so we tend to get a bit impatient.Magrathea wrote:Yeah, anyone believing NPR flubbed or that the replay or tonight's spot are sloppy or fixes are completely wrong. ooo that's much better than the other video everyone is posting. also - seeing the video more clearly makes me want to reverse my previous opinion (which was that the gas station shots have significance relating to that specific location) because it seems more plausible now that the locations are simply part of a montage sequence meant to signify a general idea about deserts, or desolation, or the american roadtrip that campfire headphase was meant to convey. sorry that was a long sentence but you get the idea.mheumann wrote:Here's another version of the Adult Swim ad. Sorry the first part is fuzzy.

Agreed. I noticed a while back that their infrequent Boctransmission tweets follow this trend:Opothecary wrote:It's interesting how a lot of their posts have only been on either the 11th or 22nd of each month.

There were a couple of other tweets that were deleted almost as soon as they were posted.

well, my point is that at this point warp is well into the range of using money/favors to get this out there. My bet is that the storefront has something to do with it since that has probably cost the most money out of all of this.
I don't think warp would be committing this much time/money into something that wouldn't make them money relatively soon.
eg - I think that the album is less than a month away.

that little stunt would've cost SO LITTLE of a percent that this next album is going to generate that it just won't matter, andif you honestly believe that warp are struggling so much they have to push this album out quickly you are just very wrongI don't think warp would be committing this much time/money into something that wouldn't make them money relatively soon.
