My first post in this form, with two thoughts for two different solutions to this problem;

1: Isn't it possible that we won't get a sixth code; i.e. that this is a mathematical or numerological challenge, where the last code is the answer that we have to work out from the other five? This could for example be a code needed to unlock something.

2: An alternative thought, assuming we would get all six codes in the messages; can the reversed intro of the Adult Swim message and the multiplicity of this code as discussed above imply that these numbers occur more than once in the string, but that they should be reversed in fifth slot - 247996?

Thought for a second I might have been to one of the locations used briefly in the film. The narrow canyon shown here reminded me be Golden Canyon, which is located within Death Valley, near Zabriskie Point.

Having checked my photos out though, I'm less convinced now. Boooo!

i do get a zabriskie point feel from the footage in general, though. it IS marcus's 4th favorite film after all.

Cannot hear any new voices/numbers in this once reversed. Just radio wave scanning. Is this the clue? How feasible is it to think Warp/BoC have purchased a radio frequency to broadcast, like an actual number station? I'm off to scan the airwaves

I've seen that mentioned somewhere recently and it did make me think of all of this, along with the orginal easter egg in the old Atari Adventure game.

that's been on my mind a lot as well, i used to love that book, so beautifully illustrated and such intricately plotted puzzles.

How could they (I mean reddit too) not realize that, if you reverse the video, the second part become the first and viceversa? Are they really thinking that those numbers are magically coming from noise when audio is reversed? I really don't get it.

I mean, if you reverse the audio of 699742 you clearly obtain...suspense...699742 reversed!
The only digit that doesn't match is the one that's not very "audio palindrome" (for example "seven" becomes "neves", that is similar to the original etc.).

Am I the only one who is shocked by this?

I am currently reading the Hare virus source code to infer an algorithm that can be used to decrypt the number from its polymorphic engine.. But I doubt this is what they want us to do?

nope ... I don't get it too hahah... Why would they give each numbers separate (almost all with multiple sources to confirm) and the last in a precedent while reversed???

The locations in the video seem disjointed because they are. It may be a video-palindrome or need to be stitched together like the audio. There's a remaining piece in the sound, and another in the desert. I am close but I don't know which piece has to be uncovered first. It's a possibility that the NPR numbers go both in front and into the 5th position but reversed. That would make the complete code the sort of "off-center palindrome" they seem fond of aesthetically. Some of their work is not about creating a perfect mirror.

Agreed. I gave it a facpalm, too.

Also: the codes have been provided with a clear positioning addendum. This one has not. (also NPR has not, but their code was repeated then).

I really hope Warp is ending it tonight. People have reached the climax of craziness about this.
