Please don't read anything else into it, especially not a silly attempt to gather more audience. It was just meant to be fun. ;)

Cheers!
Wat...

Is this guy real?
He only says he runs the podcast, nothing more?

though i agree whole heartily, Dayvan is still an incredible song. :) as much as it is the "easy gateway" to BOC, I still blast that tune constantly. 8)

I discovered BoC through TCH, it still is my favourite album.

Perhaps Aesthetics hint/confirmation that there are in fact 6 records is important somehow. I wonder if how many times a clue has been repeated is relevant to the solution. Here's a tally (not counting the French podcast hoax thing)

3x 699742
1x 628315
1x 717228
6x 936557
------
3x 519225

I could be wrong about the last one, but I thought I heard its been broadcast on the BBC 3 times - if not, at least 2.

Man, I do have the fondest memories of this song......

Big road trip to America with wifey and was driving the last leg. Vegas to San Francisco. I did most of if overnight but in the morning when my wofe woke up, we were just rocking down to the coast through Monterey with the sun rising and she put on this song.......blown....away.....

Agree though if you think that Dayvan Cowboy is all that BOC offer, you are missing 96% of the picture.

Its those little moments in more or less all of the songs, that just....you know......remind you of childhood, or make you feel all nostalgic.......very, VERY hard to explain.

I've only heard of Zane Lowe on R1 and then Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone on R6.

Or was there a mix on Saturday night?

I've been thinking along same lines but concluded that we couldn't really be sure that all broadcasts etc had been picked up. It seems to me that each six-digit group could have it's own area of interest.

1st - All over - For the buzz and casual observers and something to do with collaborators like the video guy.
2nd - ?
3rd - Video/YouTube - For the people making and watching videos. BOC clearly like this stuff on YT even when it's totally unofficial.
4th - Records - For record buyers and sellers to get excited about
5th - Forum clue/SoundCloud - For the fanbois 100%
6th - BBC Radio - For music fans in the UK. I'm hopeful this means there'll be more link-ups with the beeb but most likely just got an exclusive because they were going to broadcast it multiple times so needed a single group.

Yeah man, TCH is my favorite too. I really love how they incorporate lots of guitar and stuff into that record yet still retain the classic BOC sound. I think the progression from music has the right to children to campfire was a perfect evolution. If the new record incorporates all of the different styles and vibes from all their records, we're in for a fucking treat. :)

Seems like this will be the most fun we will probably ever have ahead of an official release again. I applaud everyone that is enjoying the ride and not complaining.

Have to agree, I can't really remember ever looking forward to an album so much (that is, if that is what this is leading to). The who code thing and the way it's brought fans together, opened the door to new fans......makes it much more interesting. Just wish it was a little more fluid lol.

If it was going to be an easy/fluid/predictable leak of information, they might as well have just announced the release date and been done with it. This way, they are sowing confusion, chaos and discussion, which is EXACTLY what they and I were hoping for out of something like this. Crazy theories all around, not knowing where, and especially WHEN we'll get our next clue. As Mexicola mentioned in the other main thread, the only people who have a problem with this that you're going to lose are the gimme gimme ADD kids.

This....

I am fairly sure there has been a big influx of new users to the site......granted, some of them will be shiters but some of those will be people who enjoyed BOC but never got their fingers out of their holes to look for a community until now..

Its all good tbh

just don't ask me to share my shit :)

Anyone tried to play both mystery vinyls at the same time? I guess it could reveal the album artwork ;)
