Yes. I hate, loathe, despise the term IDM.

Or hell.. I guess you could go further back and say old New Order, Joy Division, Camoflauge, Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, etc.. probably don't fit into the classification properly.

Did I mention I hate the term IDM?

Define IDM.. are you talking about electronic music in general or strictly IDM ?.. if so, I don't really know what is and what isn't.

My first was Reload - A Collection of Short Stories(samples) it's from 1993 but still is an awesome record which isn't dated imo.

Still difficult to define what is and what isn't IDM in my honest opinion but this one definitely is.

I've seen Reload doing a DJ set on the Gentse Feesten in that same year 1993.
