yeah, bleep definitely showed sold out on vinyl for at least an hour around 4pm MST. wanted to pick up a 3rd copy, lolWeHadNormality wrote:Someone said bleep had earlier but you can still pre-order from the looks of it. For the next batch maybe, later shipping or something?GH wrote:Did somebody say the vinyl had sold out earlier, and where did that info come from?
Just wondering if there was a quick rethink on pressing quantities as a result of demand.

Oh that's too bad, I was hoping it was an official shirt because I like the font on it better than the new shirts and the tree logo shirt.Magrathea wrote:It's all over eBay, not official but came out about 24 hours after the first vinyl was found. Anyone else remember that?

In the process of releasing new music, they gave me a week full of memories I'll never forget. It was incredible in and of itself. And now new tunes to create and re-live old memories to- just amazing.GH wrote:Hear hear! Well done guys! I don't know about earlier today, but Saturday night was hopping!Guido wrote:Off topic and I'm not sure if anyone has said this before but I think it's really noteworthy that not a single incident has occurred during a period when the number of concurrent users had never been so high. I have spoken very briefly with the administrator of this site about this matter and he agreed about the fact that even during this period only minor moderation was necessary. No agression or flaming at all, as far as I have seen, at most just minor disagreements. I can list many forums and websites where *any* discussion quickly detoriates into flame wars, spam and Nazi references. This is really positive and proves the fact that Boards Of Canada fans are really intelligent, empathic and social people. Pat yourself on the back Twoism.

got bored and edited the album cover a bit. I liked the realism of the original but I wanted to see if I could make it more of a similar style to their previous releases, lots of colour and abstract visuals.
honestly it looks more relevant then I had hoped for.

Doesn't have to be pre-ordered and lots of eager people don't have a local record shop. I don't.Fireal420 wrote:Fireal420 wrote:one quick question
why does the album have to be pre ordered?
cant we just pick it up in the a local music store the day it comes out?

I know the location of the cover photo has already been confirmed but I still thought I would contribute this:

I think this last one really picks up the same vibe :

oh yes of course, but also colour, silhouette, horizon, type positioned centred in particular. it think they look similar espeically in feel. boc one looks more instagram'ish though and of course different font and different silhouette. try squinting your eyesGuido wrote:I don't think those look similarat most both covers just obey the laws of physics, light in particular.
Seriously though, while it would seem that it's sort of a return to form based on the tone of the teaser, we still don't know what the album as a whole will sound like. What do you guys think it will bear the most resemblance to? Twoism-Hi Scores era? MHTRTC-IABPOITC-Geogaddi era? TCH-TCH era? Or possibly something so completely different that it bears very little resemblance to anything they've made before?
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Track 17 - "Seeds of the Dead"
1.) Google searched "Semena Mertvykh". Nothing but BoC-related results.
2.) Decided to try searching "Semena Mertvykh -boards of canada"
3.) First result contained "he states: "Khristos iz mertvykh voskres, budet to" with the title "...Romance re- and Russian voz-"
4.) FoxLingo Translation --> Russian To English (Google Translate)
5.) Semena Mertvykh --> Semena Mertvykh ??
6.) "*Did you mean Семена Мертвых*?
7.) Семена Мертвых --> Seeds of the Dead
Another thought: the use of the Russian language in track-list (Cold War...)

Drums. Need to hear drums to decide that. I hope there's another clip with a bit more music before the release just to give us an idea.Rodheh wrote:Seriously though, while it would seem that it's sort of a return to form based on the tone of the teaser, we still don't know what the album as a whole will sound like. I saw this somewhere else. Love the juxtaposition of "New Seeds" and "Seeds of the Dead"Calvin wrote:Track 17 - "Seeds of the Dead"

Also, what does everyone make of the foreign language interest on this album? There's obviously been a prevalent Spanish interest ... and now that's, Russian I believe?
