so uhh... ive really been looking at this new album cover for a while now and its... pretty creepy... if you look at it from far away it just... damn... this is one weird boc cover i can tell you that.

It's like their standing on a weedy plateau behind some mountains about to watch this city get destroyed... The observers...

The city looks fenced off to me, a decayed crumbling irradiated mausoleum. An embalm of man's folly and a warning to generations to come.

I must admit that I felt a chill as I first saw the album's title on the trailer. It took me back to my childhood cold war paranoia and the bleak hopelessness I felt watching Threads, The Day After and Edge of Darkness.

The album cover looks like an atomic mushroom cloud test in a desert imposed over a city sunset to me
A clearance in a wooded area, you startle a deer, it runs into the pines. Vast turquoise lakes and icy rivers, crisp mountain air. A bald eagle soars above. The distant sound of a chainsaw. Redwood smoke

does anyone think picking San Francisco/that area has symbolism in regards to it being a tech hub, maybe in whatever distopian story/vibe they were working with?

Just thinking about how this whole album's campaign was done..

Numbers station-esque vignettes with an old-sounding call-sign, a computer system whose last login was 17 years ago.. Granted that radio and television were used a little too..

But even the scenes in the videos.. I get a really desolate feel from this. I'm excited. I mean, of course I'm excited.. Everyone's excited.

But I'm...

excited

What price have you set that at?
Well he's listed it at 5 grand on discogs
can we please clarify that I did not list it for 5k? I wrote that in as the price and then wrote in the notes that 5k was arbitrary, and that I was just looking for offers

that panned out rather violently so I figured I'd just move it to ebay and let the net decide its value, the reserve is how much money I need for shipping costs

<3
Seriously though.....reserve STILL not met at 250 quid.....

What are you using to ship it, a RESURRECTED PEGASUS?

I just really cant believe that someone would just sell it off after all this, and so quickly at that.. It's not everyday Boards of Canada just hides keys around the world.. I would keep it like forever, man..

Are you sure? The album cover just looks like a double exposure to me.

If they were to do it all over again to announce a live date, well.. I'd be alright with that :P

I didn't mean this is THE photo they've used. But the location is a 100%.
Me too thinks the photo on the record is worked with quite a lot, maybe imposing two or several. But it's hard to tell before I have a higher resolution pic or better, the record in my hands. Vinyl that is
