It's late at night (at least in my timezone) when i am writing this, without glasses, on my mobile and after sleeping a few hours... But i think i had to upload my thoughts to the community as soon as i had a chance. Please bear with me for typos and strange logic/grammar constructs.
In the past days i was lucky enough to be part of the new BoC album "treasure hunt" and together with all the brilliant people tried hard to discover the secrets that ultimately led to what we all know (and should have preordered!) by now.
For the records i was more active on the Freenode IRC channel, as that is a format that is more convenient for me for a number of different reasons, but i am aware that a lot of work has been done here in the forum too, so this is why i decided to come out of the lurker's world and register.
Anyway, back to the topic.
In these days, as the solution to the enigma was approaching more and more, i began to think that this moment, this event, should not be lost in time (or the huge labyrinth that the Internet can be).
I think that it actually has to be celebrated in some ways, so that all the fans could have a bigger memory of it...
As an artistic person myself and as a "consumer" of art in all its form, the idea of making something out of this in any form (whether music, text, photos, videos) could be really interesting, hence the thought of a "counter-album".
By talking to some people on the IRC channel, it seems that the interest is shared and already a number of people would be willing to participate.
In simple terms: everyone who wants to participate should create something personal (as i said, all media are welcome) that shall be the personal vision on this quest and be available for everyone to enjoy and peruse in the form of a freely available download.
Whether the creation evoques BoC styles is not that important, as long as it has a connection to the "hunt" itself.
I am as well in the privileged position of investing some money into that, i really would love to have something physical to remark the moment too, like a cd or dvd with the content we would create with a proper booklet and in a special packaging.
I would be ready as well to approach Warp and the brothers to see if they would have as well any interest, at least to have some sort of approval to use the quest material (video and sound clips, etc).
Before you start to think "who's this just registered moron that posts silly ideas on twoism late at night", i'd like to say that if i didn't feel it important i wouldn't have wrote all this text already, especially without glasses :p
i can understand that this could be something not that much interesteing, but i would really like to have some feedback....
Thanks for giving me the chance to express my thoughts
Alex
