This isn't the exact song, but this is where the samples for that song came from, I believe.

That is a damn cool video! I love how he visually shows where some of the samples come from (garden shears, watering can, etc.). When I see those it completely illuminates them in the track and gives me sort of an "Aha!" moment. I'm really excited about playing this album in the warmer weather that's approaching.MindElevation wrote:The official music video for A Tout L'heure has just been released:

It's strange, but from the album preview, a lot of it kind of made me think of Duster or Red House Painters with how melancholic and bittersweet the melodies sounded. The last bit gives me chills every time.GH wrote:looking forward to this one, more than any of the recent Bibio in fact.
If only it would arrive at my doorstep already.

Oh man really? I don't know whether to listen. Hmmm. It's so hard for albums not to leak these days!duk_koo_kim wrote:so... it leaked. and i am listening. and it is really worthwhile! and for the first time, I AM NOT ASHAMED OF LISTENING EARLY (because it's already been pre-ordered and will show up next week anyway). anyone else take a listen? should we start a new thread with a big spoiler warning?

There's got to be a way to release an album without a leak beforehand- see Radiohead and their sucesses with In Rainbows & TKOL- they announced it, and dropped that shit on everone a week later, both times. I've already pre-ordered, so I guess my insistence on downloading and listening to the leak says more about my lack of patience than my lack of respect for the artist. BUT IF YOU DO DECIDE TO LISTEN, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT!MindElevation wrote:Oh man really? I don't know whether to listen. Hmmm. rainier wrote:Just finally listened to a tout a l'heure to get hyped for next week and I love it, it's very pretty and catchy. I'm gonna wait until next tuesday to listen. I get my new record player on friday so it's perfect timing.
See, there's a sign that it's best to wait. I listened to the leak twice through- once alone this morning and then once after dinner with the girlfriend on our balcony, putting the tomato plants in bigger pots (I know, such a Bibio-typical thing to do, so sue me!) and I think that was enough- I deleted the files off my hard-drive and will wait until next week to really get into it. It was just nice to get a little taste of whats to come. Call it impatience, call it the kids these day- the interesting thing will be if I am faced with the same situation w/r/t Tomorrow's Harvest- I do NOT want to hear the album before the rest of the world does, or before the bros intend it.
The only thing that I will say about Silver Wilkinson is that "À tout à l'heure" fits PERFECTLY in with the rest- it's the at the right place in the album and it's also important that we've heard it before the other tracks, and it fills out a bit amongst the companion pieces. OKAY I'M DONE SORRY TO RUIN ANYTHING! We'll talk about this next week!

no judgement man, I listened to a tout a l'heure like 5 times while I was digging up dandelions. God I'm such a twee asshole haha. But bibio is the best gardening music.once after dinner with the girlfriend on our balcony, putting the tomato plants in bigger pots (I know, such a Bibio-typical thing to do, so sue me!)
Nice to hear that it fits in with the rest of the album. I think it will sound really stellar on vinyl. I hope the 14th is a nice sunny day.
