Well I don't really understand what they mean. Do they mean they are giving away these posters with all pre-orders? Surely not, it's massive. Or do they mean if I specifically reserve a CD with them, they will give me it off of their wall? Either way I don't speak Japanese so I'm fucked.seanandcandy wrote:how can you even "reserve CD" when their online store is how it is (in japanese and unnavigateable...)MindElevation wrote:So I tweeted BEAM records about this poster and got this reply.MindElevation wrote: ohmergherd I want that poster

idk

I thought the guy who bought it mentioned it was, but maybe that was fan speculation because you'd think he'd mention it in the listing. But I don't suppose that really matters too much. It's not really something you'd play over and over, it's more of a show/sentimental piece. But a high quality rip would be cool.Goiter Sanchez wrote:rainier wrote: I bid on it around the $500 mark; I can't afford to go any higher at the moment... I really hope that whoever gets it distributes a high quality rip of the audio, though I somehow doubt that happening.
How do we know it's an acetate dubplate btw? Was that revealed by the seller? I guess that means it's only got around 50 plays until it noticeably degrades.
I am running through the moment I place this vinyl on the deck, sit back with a glass of something and immerse myself in the Boccersphere once again. It's been a while.

...they worry about the used fuel rods that owners of commercial nuclear power plants ship to Vallecitos for study. Vallecitos has "hot cells," places for handling radioactive material such as spent fuel rods.
The rods are shipped to Vallecitos by truck. Once examined, the used nuclear fuel is stored on site, in a chemically stabilized form. Turner said Vallecitos has taken in about 300 to 350 kilograms of spent nuclear fuel - or about 660 to 770 pounds - over the years.
"You're storing nuclear waste within feet of a fault line," Kelley said. The possibility of a highway accident involving a shipment of used fuel rods...

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, if a digital download is available before the record comes out, I will listen to it. Scouts honor I won't listen to a leak though (not saying I wouldn't be tempted). Especially if it's only like one or two songs that got leaked, at least for the first time I wanna hear the album in the order they intended it to be heard.
I live in a shitty little town, but not too far from nyc so I'd really like to go to a listening party or something. I miss music being a communal experience for me.

honestly you're all a bunch of liars if you think you won't listen to a pre-released track of Boards of Canada. you know you would, if a real one actually got leaked.
it wouldn't be that bad if it was one or two tracks, just think of them like you think of singles for an album, and if the whole album leaked in high quality 320kbs, I still doubt that anyone here wouldn't try and get their filthy ears in it.
If I did, I would still buy it though. I'm not a fan of pirating music from good artists.
