they actually haven't finished it yet, they're pulling all nighters reading twoism trying to make the album we want. "Well Mike, judging by the reaction to daft punk we should scrap this disco tune" "balls! I loved that one".
course they'll deliver, in spades. i don't think it will be as difficult to grasp as the complex Geogaddi beast either, more accessible like TCH yet dark. what it sounds like is anyones guess, 8 years is a long time and that aspect alone makes it all the more exciting. The album artwork even does not connote complex math time signatures to me, its quite simple and direct.
3 more weeks i reckon we'll have it or heard something at least.

sheesh, you people are probably going to eviscerate TH when it comes out. RAM is REALLY good - the musicianship and production are superb on this album. It really grows on you with the next couple listens. Unfortunately, albums end up being such a disappointment on first listen these days...the community hypes them up, and then the first chance anyone gets to hear it is in a disposable, lossy format, minus the ritual of going to the record store, obtaining the record and listening to it and forming your own opinion first. Every album release is anticlimactic in the iTunes era...

The musicianship and production are overdone on RAM imo, that's why I don't like it. Anyway, back to Tomorrows Harvest, which will blow us away ;p

I am far, far from certain that they worked on it for 7-8 years.
it's BEEN 7-8 years since their last release, there's quite a nuance to make here. As far as we know, they might have put 2-3 years into it.
I have the feeling that the album was already finished when the black box appeared two years ago but maybe they had problems starting the ARG (but 2 years seems a bit much), or they just took time thinking about the ARG and building it. If my hypothesis is true, it'd mean they spent no more than 5 years on it.
I don't think that they've only put 2 years working on TH, they're too perfectionists (even though we haven't heard the album yet, perhaps it's crap ).

I recall them saying they lost like 2 years just between moving apart and having to rebuild studios, and having families, etc. Either way, it's BoC, so you know A LOT of time, thought and love went into every little detail. Can't wait. I keep having dreams about the new album and waking up without it is the disappointment at the moment. Can't wait- for whatever it is!
I'm actually not too disappointed that I won't be able to listen to it until a few weeks after release. I mean, its gonna be around forever once its out.. So I'll have something to look forward to when I get back to civilization.
Can't decide whether to get it on itunes or order the physical cd. I have geogaddi and right to children on itunes, but twoism on cd. hm... *flips a coin*
