Finally got round to hearing My God Is The Sun this morning...

Love it. Between QOTSA, BoC and the new Primal Scream, it's going to be a great summer of psychedelia....

Ya man, I'm digging the two singles released thus far. A great year for music indeed! :)

they're going to be teasing new music all week on adult swim I think, but I'm gonna avoid it so I don't spoil the new album for myself lol.

Like Clockwork has leaked! I have to wait until recording class is done before I can listen to it though

From what I've been told though, it's fucking amazing. Stoked to hear it!! 8)

Mannnn its really good. Like REEEEALLY good. I just listened to it on my home stereo front to back, and damn...this album was worth the wait since Era Vulgaris. I still intend to buy it once it's released (probably on vinyl) but I'm too much of a die hard fan to force myself to wait on this one. I would say listen to the leak, because you won't be disappointed..but that's just me. It has been far too long since their last record for me to wait another couple weeks lol..the choice is yours! :D

I enjoyed Songs for the Deaf all the way back when,

and I heard the snippet of Kalopsia and enjoyed that a lot, so I got the leak,

I need to listen to it a bit more but I was impressed.

Gave it one listen through while stoned....

this is definitely the darkest, most mature of their material. I'd say right now they're at their musical prime

Agreed, and I love it!!! This is their Geogaddi..a drug-hazed spooky view of the world. Also, Kalopsia is suuuuch a great song! Love Reznor's vocals on it..honestly though, I'm digging each track a LOT. The only ones that haven't really struck me yet are the title track and Fairweather Friends. Which is weird, cos I was curious to see what Elton John would do collaborating with QOTSA lol..more listens are required! :D

Something I've also noticed is the album really flows like a concept album... I mean yeah Like Clockwork and all the strange alice in wonderland type stuff seems like a central theme so it makes sense. I'm probably going to get stoned again today and listen to the whole thing again

Everything about this album oozes maturity. This isn't an album someone just comes along and makes, this is a product of years and years of growth as musicians.

Like Clockwork is pretty good. Better than the previous two releases (Era Vulgaris and Lullabies).
