It's definitely Telephasic Workshop for me. It's the way the bass drum beat is every so slightly too early every other bar than fascinates me more than it should.

Studio version of Telephasic Workshop has great beats for sure - but I'm going to list two other highlights that surely deserve mention:

Alpha and Omega
IMO virtually on a par with Telephasic, plus the tribal-style percussion layer; what's not to like?

Vegetarian Soup
Maybe overlooked for being a remix but hell, it's real heavy Boards going on - absolutely kills it

It's funny how well the beat works when it's slowed down (Helter Skelter radio show). I like it better that way actually.

Probably An Eagle In Your Mind has the best drums/percussion patterns for me, the scratching is just amazing. Telephasic Workshop is great too, and I like the simplicity of something like Smokes Quantity, where you feel like every sound has been honed to perfection.

Also I like a bunch of the ones on old tunes, like She is P, Mukinabaht, and others but I know they re-use stuff all the time so it's perhaps some of the same samples that I am drawn to.

Really tough decision. Probably Telephasic Workshop, just bounces around in my head and complements the cut-up vocals. Nothing else quite like it.

1969 has my favorite bass drum pattern for sure. I've always been such a fan of Boards of Canada's double bass drum consistency and i always associate them with that. (BOOM.....BOOM BOOM) also the live drum samples in that song are cool.

the best "crazy" drum track would have to be Skyliner.

but just as far as percussion is concerned i would have to go with the drum patterns in Left Side Drive, especially the high hats.

I love these drums too. That whole song is about the drums to me.

But I also love Skyliner and Telephasic Workshop and Gyroscope a lot too. Someone mentioned how the bass drum is slightly early every other bar on TW, that's always stood out to me too and I love it. I am fascinated with that song and the way it's put together.

I recently noticed this about TW too, and it's pretty damn clever. It gives the track a weird meta-rhythm with this larger pattern of on and off beat bars on top of the rest of the rhythmic elements, and when the kick drum starts stuttering it fits the overarching rhythm perfectly.

I always thought Telephasic Workshop was their greatest tune, actually. It's by far not my favorite, but in terms of sheer technicality and skill, yep it is.

Also, You Could Feel the Sky is a great drum track. That stretching rope sound and the succeeding percussion is so sick, especially that real quick bit that sounds like a twig snapping - no two ways about it.
