BoC before BoC
Music that for one reason or another reminds me of BoC.
-"Dear Grandma and Grandpa" by Tortoise. The section starting at 0:46 is 100% BoC-like.
-Opening credits for the french tv show Thalassa (1979): The moog phrasing comes from the same parallel dimension as the music from documentary films of the National Film Board of Canada.
-Brian Eno - Lizard Point.
Do you have any more in mind?

they're really great. Judging by other stuff you've mentioned liking I think you'll dig them a lot.pianoforte wrote:I love these. Never listened to Tortoise before, thanks for posting that track. I really enjoyed it.
I really like that Thalassa theme song. I would like to have a nice collection of tv and video music like that. I started taping stuff like that from my old videotapes but I lost the cassette. It's pleasantly cozy to stroll back into the sounds that remind me of childhood. To be honest a lot of that moogey synthy stuff creeped me out when I was little, which somehow translated into me liking it even more as an adult.
raise the bells by folk implosion. This song is beautiful, I wish they'd done more like it.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
