Ps. that sound coming in at 3:48 is just pure bliss
Yeah, it has the signature BoC sound written all over it, their sound is unmistakeble! Pastoral, elusive, sorrowful, transcendent, profound. Long after we all have gone they are going to be remembered as one of the most influential acts in electronic music history.

A fitting description as well. Sadly, it fits my mood of the last years all too much.

Only gripe is i'd like when it fully all kicks in that it went on a bit longer! But always leave 'em wanting more, i guess.
You won't be disappointed when you hear it in the context of the album, I'm sure of it. This track wasn't made to be heard on its own. I can't believe how good this is. Time for everyone else to give up. BOC just won at music.
No man.

They can outdo themselves. They will outdo themselves. This track is definitely not the album's best.
I completely agree. I just know from this track alone that the album is gonna be incredible.

Oh wow. WORTH. THE. WAIT. It's just so...powerful. It's so Boards, yet feels new (i.e the high blemish part that comes in at around 2:40-:50). Absolutely wonderful, definitely assurance that the new album will be fantastic.

Am I the only one finding it weird to see Michael without his cap? He wears one in so many pictures! :)

I no longer have any doubts about the album.

This will be the proper successor to Geogaddi.

This will be worth every moment of waiting.

And this will be the greatest album to have been released as of yet this decade.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

I'm sorry to hear that. I get a similar feeling from the song. I think they're very deft at stirring up emotions with their music without being manipulative or saccharine. They're so amazing at what they do, I feel humbled.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

That's because he's not really into these days so he has been letting Mike do most of the work. Either that or he was breaking out on the photo shoot days

This track is probably the most accessible one, like Dayvan was. Can't wait to hear the weirder/creepier tracks!

Here's the thing - people post BoC fakes and parodies all the time, and you go, yeah, ok, that clearly sounds like BoC - it ticks all the boxes, but no fake would ever some up with something like this.
It's clearly BoC, but at the same time, it's fresh and new and brilliant.

Well Music Is Math is just one chord with the bass note changing. Root, fifth, third, back to fifth, seventh, repeat. I've noticed they like to use 5-bar units a lot (which is generally unusual). You also see this in Sunshine Recorder and IABPOITC.

Here we've got something centered around Gb-major harmony, though it's hard to pinpoint exactly what the tonic is. Mostly Eb minor, Db Major, and Cb major. But then there's the Fmin chord at the end.

Well..

The track they released before TCH came out was "Oscar See Through Red Eye" which is decidedly divisive.
