I think the reason Twoism has managed to stay positive for so long is that beyond TCH, and the absence of new material since then, it's had several years to "belong" to the true believers. Now with the advent of new material comes new people drawn in by outside sources. And once the hype dies down, I think the right people will stick around and the less desirable ones will disappear.

We'll be okay - it'll get better again soon (I hope)
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. There's barely any disruptive behaviour on here as far as I have seen :?. And surely an influx of new members is a good thing?
Read further up on this page. I agree, new members are definitely a good thing - need to keep the community fresh!

I don't think anyone is bring disruptive... New members can only be a good thing, but do come and mooch about in This Random Sound and The Playground too.

I still think we should have a couple of Twoism mams (or mums/moms if you must) around here to keep us all in check though ;)

Apologies - off topic.

Kind of interesting although a handmade, more precise sync would probably sound a lot better.

Not sure if these ones work as avatars. I made them for my visual blog so they're a bit bigger.

I've done a load of 2001: a space odyssey one too, same size.

Pretty addicted to making pointless gifs atm :)

Oh, I see that other one is both forward and backwards. That reminds me of someone who did that with the film The Shining and overlayed them. There are some pretty amazing 'coincidences' in that one.

This got better with each listen, classic BoC song trajectory. The video is so, so awesome as well.
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

heartened by people saying it improves with each listen, as i wasn't totally taken with it. seemed a little inelegant and the drums sounded tacked on to me. more a mood setting piece than a single, they're other albums have similar sort of neutral tracks (neither amazing nor especially terrible) so not concerned.

This tends to happen with alot of BoC tunes. Each additional listen uncovers new layers & sounds, thus more appreciation. It resonated with me right away and still I'm loving it more and more each time. I have a feeling this will be a brilliant set up for the rest of the album.
