I know, slightly off topic, but this is also pretty bizarre:

Yes excellent. There are loads of theories about the meanings of The Shining. I saw this documentary last year about a few of them including the forward and backwards one I mentioned. Well worth checking out.

Somebunny should make a Kubrick thread in the playground. I'm a big fan too.

I've finally gotten to the point where I'm not listening to it every hour now. But I just got new headphones so it gives me the incentive to go through my collection of other stuff.

I though it was here, but it might have been watmm, but someone mentioned having a hard time not closing their eyes instead of watching the video. That keeps happening to me too. The video is gorgeous and the images are striking, but I like how I can still close my eyes and have my own personal visual idea for the song, which for whatever reason makes me picture a spider building it's web and catching a moth, which tries to escape.

Played the video for my 12yr old daughter and she said it was boring about half way through it! Not enough "brain-washing" sounds in it according to her!

i remember once i tried to make the argument that "2001: a space odyssey" is to "a clockwork orange" as "music has the right to children" is to "geogaddi."

Clockwork Orange feels much more like a The Shining to me, but I see what you mean. What does that make Campfire then? Barry Lyndon?

Is this song good because it was made by Boards of Canada? Or is it just simply amazing?

yes "campfire" is "barry lyndon" in the sense that it's a misunderstood, under-rated work of genius. which means that "the shining" is "tomorrow's harvest" for reasons which will be revealed later.

That DJ Food remix is how I imagine the track should be! He has done it so much justice. It's like cumming twice!

Absolutely not. Would love a DVD release. Would love a vinyl release of it too. Warp seem to be slacking a bit when it comes to promotional items so far. Hope this changes.
