I appreciate an objective view about something as much as anyone, but fuxache, that Pagesdigital write-up appeared to have spewed out from a random sentence generator. Pointless - even the positive bits.

BS, the other reviews detailed that track and definitely isn't silence

Makes me almost think that there are different versions of the last track on different copies, as some kind of watermark in case it leaks

Well the Quietus and other track by track overview said the last track was long droning like an "aeroplane over my house". Maybe that reviewer woman is one of those people who look down on drone/noise music as not real music, so she just said dismissed it as "basically just three minutes of silence".

Yes it seems that Pitchfork hates or at least goes "meh" to most things generally accepted as great pieces of music, and flip flops. For instance, they gave Daft Punk's Discovery a 6.4, while giving RAM a fucking 8.8. I mean RAM was good, but it wasn't that good.
it's 2013, people still read/care about Pitchfork's opinion? I have to admit RAM is a pretty good album, maybe not for EDM enthusiasts, but I will agree with them and say it's good, it doesn't excuse their abortion of a Discovery review though.

The problem with music reviews (and especially Pitchfork, where bias is almost encouraged) is that it's just one guy/girl's opinion who might have tastes that run completely counter to yours.

True, very true. In the end it's just one person's opinion. There some people here on Twoism who were shitting all over RAM, so I guess there's a plethora of opinions.,
