The first track I've heard that has hard hitting textures and tones. The only one so far that I would hold up to their previous work.

Sounds like cello in this song. I just really love the sound of this one. What a tone setter!

Yes, it was reminiscent of Apocalyptica in places but I only listened to 10 seconds so don't shoot the messenger

I just had a listen for it (rather, listening to it) for the purpose of this thread.
Wow.
It's very...dystopian. The jarring, dark synths are the pure definition of drone. O God, that's lovely.
Yeah, it gets my approval for a great drone piece. I could see it being used in a movie, too. It is great.
It's a very powerful song.
My expectations are being raised.
The resonance of the jarring synth in the former half of the song remind me of a little song/test/whatever I did on an Alesis Micron synth one night. Really sounds similar to it.

I will be SO upset if that little 5 second fanfare in the beginning isn't actually a part of the song!

All the track by tracks have mentioned it, so I think it's there. Such a cool start to the album.

Great! I've avoided the track-by-track articles...I'm not usually the type to ignore such HUGE BoC news, but I want to go into this album without opinions from a reviewer. Once it's out, I'll give it a read..if I can hold out that long!

Oops sorry, I didn't mean to spoil you
I tried to hold out on the track by tracks too, but ah, you see how well that worked out for me.
