Hi, i tend to post my music at kvr but a member there suggested i should post a tune or two here. i am (as is probably a little obvious) a big fan of boards of canada.

nah, you misunderstand, the edit was cos i felt i came across a bit agressive, not you.
was just interested in where i was copying from is all.
no offence taken.
steve.
all this misunderstanging and...red-moon of canada.I don't know if it is intentional.
not intentional at all, although as you guess from the title it was written with boc in mind. which tune does it sound like i've copied it from ?
btw, red moons was written after someone has mentioned a thread here about a boc party back in june, i was actually going to go up and visit (he lives in edinburgh) but it was my sons birthday party that weekened so i wrote the tune in frustration....

fortunately it would seem i didn't miss them
Yeah,I feel yah.I wrote Earlyburn couse the same reason.
Red-moon of canada is very much like "dayvan cowboy" witch is also the same as the same bass-line in "buckey-high"
blaster78 wrote:cool, well as i said, not intentional... i'll take it as a compliment though... i love that tune.
and if marcus and mike fancy starting legal proceedings i'll take em for a pint in recompense....
cheers for listening,
steve.
I dont think M&M are those kind of peopleb (and I think warp is the one that takes care of that) And as long as you are not making any profit of it...they have nothing on ya.And Yeah, I love Dayvan Cowboy just as much as the next guy.But recreating something is a but...unnecesary.Still great achievements

i've gotta love you mate... did you not pick up any of the sarcasm in the post
i like them. i see the similarities between some BoC tunes...but there is still enough originality there to make them stand alone. they are very playful tunes. i think anyone that listens to BoC enough is going to have some ofd that bleed over into their music.
