What If...
What if "Tomorrow's Harvest" was recorded to play in sync with the film "Deadly Harvest?"
Ya know, kind of like some accused Pink Floyd of doing with the "Wizard Of Oz?"
Even though the total running time of TH doesn't coincide with that of the film, ever since hearing "Reach For The Dead," I've been utterly gutted and confused as to why the track ends so abruptly. But if it were due to it being the end of a certain scene in the movie then it might make a little more sense to me.
It's just a theory that I came up with earlier at work. Feel free to discuss or tear it down

BOC releases another album at years end (you know, because they have the material) and in between re-releases geogaddi on vinyl so basically all the things we have been experiencing over the past 6 weeks goes on for another 6+ months
This + reissues of all their back catalogue
+ streamed no attendance live performanceStarblazerUK wrote:^^^^^vanlorne wrote:What if....

one clever fellow has already done something similar on youtube (much to my delight) with Blade Runner. Blade Runner is my favorite film of all time and the opening salvo from our day in the desert (fanfare) to a good few minutes into Gemini (at least from what i saw on his youtube) match up nearly perfectly with the film and even the Vangelis soundtrack. in Blade Runner you would need to sync it up beginning with the LADD Company logo. its pretty trippy - big appreciation the guy who figured this out (i cant remember who but gave him a like on youtube).Weekend_Warrior wrote:What if "Tomorrow's Harvest" was recorded to play in sync with the film "Deadly Harvest?"

That's genius. I adore Blade Runner! My first thought on hearing Gemini was "Vangelis/Blade Runner/Cyberpunk Synth Soundtrack...or something to that extent (when the synthy bits come in, anyway)paul wrote:one clever fellow has already done something similar on youtube (much to my delight) with Blade Runner. Sadly i do believe that this will be their last album... It's their 4th album and the first track is Gemini. 2=4
Also 4 is a great number of full albums, a perfect square of boc...
On the other hand an Ep would be a cool idea for new material. Maybe when their like 70 they'll give us everything else.

What about 6 for a hexagon instead, seems more fitting. But then I guess when you count twoism and boc maxima this does make #6. Either way, i guess its over

Yeah, I'm sure the brothers will base their careers upon the shape that can be made by the number of albums they releasevanlorne wrote:4?PlacentaSand wrote:Sadly i do believe that this will be their last album... It's their 4th album and the first track is Gemini. 2=4

I think TH is the start of much more to come. A new chapter starts now.
yeah this is untouchable. I always wonder if that would be my favorite movie without the soundtrack, it's the best.Moloch wrote:I dare BOC to top Vangelis' work on Blade Runner.
I definitely heard the influence on Gemini. That's cuz the Sandisons know what's up re: Vangelis.
All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
i always enjoy seeing your avatar. Batty's "Tears In Rain" speech is one of the most beautiful moments in film history.Moloch wrote:I dare BOC to top Vangelis' work on Blade Runner.
not likely trying to top Vangelis' masterpiece. if anything, the brothers are tipping their hats and probably like BR as well. one more reason i feel they make this music just for me sometimes.

apparently they gave over an hour of unreleased stuff to chris cunningham for the ads he did.sunshine recorder wrote:i wonder if they,ve ever been approached by anyone to provide soundtracks for stuff?
seem like a logical progression, plaid have done a few excellent ones
i think people are reading to much into the 'deadly harvest' film, it's probably just a co-incidental title
