Haha, funny you say that cause I do! I love summertime when girls have those open-toed shoes and pretty little feet. Mmmm god damn.

So.. after a couple of weeks of mulling it over in my car, I think that I finally 'get' Loveless.

I'm especially fond of the closing of "Blown a Wish" as well as the first track.

I think I'm just slow on the uptake with this stuff. But I would never have gotten it to it without the help of the oh-so-great Twoism..

Well, better late than never.

That's the great thing about Loveless - it takes a bit of "getting" - I still hear new things in it now despite first buying the album in 1998.

Oh, and Derail - right with you up until the "foot job" bit.

I just ordered this and I have a feeling it's gonna be one hell of an album. Just read the review!

Wow...ummm I guess this goes to show I shouldn't read to much into reviews. I just got "Connectivity!" today and it's not really at all what I expected. It's much to happy and poppy sounding for me, but Beach Boys fans would probably love this album.

loveless is like an everyday thing now. Its one of the best albums ive ever heard. I can understand how boc takes influence from them, just like boc i always hear something new when listening to a song, its so dense and mmm so creamy.

Okay, I've read all 6 damn pages and I'm kinda disappointed to read that no one here has brought up this record:

Starflyer 59 - Gold

They never did anything like it before or since, and it is by far the BEST shoegazer album I own, beating out MBV, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, everything. Get it before someone else comes along and realizes how uncool you are without it.

Also, these are a bit more on the "pop" end of the shoegazer spectrum, but very very worth seeking out if you like bands like Lush, Autolux, etc...

Viva Voce - Hooray For Now

AND ALSO

Bowery Electric - Beat

A total classic. Somewhere between shoegaze, ambient, post-rock drones and trip hop, all topped off with occasional female vox. GET IT!!!11

Honestly I'd have to disagree...Boris have those droned out moments but I wouldn't call them "shoegazery"

Speaking of Boris though, that new collab with Sunn o))) (ALTAR) is fucking immense. Anyone in on the doom scene should seriously get that record. Vinyl comes with a bonus track as well, featuring Boris, Sunn o))) AND Dylan Carlson from EARTH!!!!! OMG!!!!!
