It's what bands do these days. Back in '05 this wasn't the done thing, but for new and anticipated releases it is now. BoC have to fit in contractually with Warp and stir up the demand even more regardless of their original intentions.PlacentaSand wrote:H
Why are the brothers being so generous about this new album? is it because they've already sold so many or was this in the works to begin with..

I too am going to be busy (on a train) while this occurs... vaguely feel bad to be already thinking ahead to potentially downloading it afterwards.. (I do already have vinyl preordered though..)
is there any info on the level of quality it's gonna stream at? am I better off waiting to sit and hear it all off the vinyl? think I might do that

Theres plenty of free, lightweight and safe YT downloaders out there, you can grab several diff formats and resolutions or the original upload quality/format. If you cant find one hit me up. Sometimes downloading is the only way to watch YT for me when YT gets all skippy my video players don't.
I don't recommend it but it can be great for law enforcement, journalists and anti-censorship.

...and always be careful- DLing copyright stuffs illegal, and I wouldn't repost it, let BOC get all the hits/traffic etc

1. remember the suggestions that the LDLP-aerial-map-timestamp image was not a clue, but just anther photo from the shoot, released to merely carry on the main theme...
Well that was my original thought about that building in the live web trans image...
2. remember the all those questions before LDLP of "no way, would they REALLY send us BACK to yermo?"
1. It wasn't JUST theme it was CLUE.
2. They really DID ask us BACK to yermo.
Reminds me of the little Nevada radio station in GTA SA where the guy talks about area 51 ufos and the epsilon cult, another example of this genius encoded/hidden treasure hunt/game...

I'm using this one right now: http://en.savefrom.net/ -- even has a Chrome extension. Works like a charm.Melts wrote:Theres plenty of free, lightweight and safe YT downloaders out thererd1994 wrote:anybody got A HQ version of the RFTD video up for grabs

I don't consider someone's shitty cell phone recording of an official listening party that was made in good faith to be a real leak. A real leak would be sourced from a CD, minus desert wind sound effects. If you wasted your time with that shit, you have terrible self control. Acknowledging it's existence gives relevance to Bieber Boy, who deserves none.Calvin wrote:so TH 'leaked' but it was a fake leak?

I guess I can kinda see why people are mad about this guy recording and uploading the whole thing butseanandcandy wrote:they weren't exactly out there policing people by the looks of itCalvin wrote:how did he get away with it?
you would think "the band has requested you don't do this" would've been enough, but alas
the same the happened with ATP and their other live performances. people went around and told people to turn off their devices, but some didn't.

in that live setting, i'm disappointed that the brothers (or maybe warp? idk) aren't taper friendly seeing as their live performances seemingly vary so much from set to setVostok wrote:the same the happened with ATP and their other live performances. people went around and told people to turn off their devices, but some didn't.
but taping an intangible listening party of an album that is going to be released within a week, and then sharing it out, is a bit dirty.

The difference is, the intricacies and depth of TH can and will be enjoyed by everyone within days. Their live performances were one off events that were meant for the attendees, and the attendees only. I'd love that stuff in soundboard quality, but it hasn't been their intention up until now to provide it in that format. I'm sure in the case of TH, they are intending for it to be enjoyed in a more personal, and widespread way. Circumventing their wishes for the album is total bullshit.Vostok wrote:I guess I can kinda see why people are mad about this guy recording and uploading the whole thing butseanandcandy wrote:they weren't exactly out there policing people by the looks of itCalvin wrote:how did he get away with it?
